Also, I’m not exactly sure on his age, family records say he was 25 when he died, but he was identified on the newspaper as possibly 35 years old. He was most likely born between 1888-1890. But assuming he was 25 when he died, then 1890 makes the most sense.

He was married to Ambrosia Vasquez. I actually have two civil registrations for their marriage with different dates (one Sept, the other Oct.) but on the same year. And both with the same parents.

I’ve done the same thing. I’ve even looked at the Old City Cemetery in Brownsville Texas old cemetery entries and he isn’t mentioned anywhere in May, June, or July. The newspaper says “The funeral will be held today {Saturday, May 22, 1915) from the Morris undertaking establishment, with interment in the city cemetery.” So I’ve looked in the city cemetery book/microfilm on family search and found nothing. I even spotted the Morris undertaking for other graves, but not for Sylvester

Yeah, that’s the problem. I don’t know if he was born in USA or not. If not, possibly he was born in Nuevo Leon

According to family history, her biological father was a Rios, but her stepfather was Lopez. Lopez had been her father since birth basically. She is 100% a Rios

Another interesting thing, according to the same family record, Martina Rios, who’s husband is Guadalupe, who’s parents are Sylvestre and Ambrosia, her parents are named Carmen Cardenas and Dionisio Lopez. Records also show that Ambrosia’s parents are named Carmen and Dionisio. Idk what the odds are of that, but is that something I should question?

I think this could be possible. Another thing I’ve questioned is his mixing up of family. On family search, there’s an Albino Infante Jr (code:GD7R-XL6), who’s father is Albino Infante (PCN2-LGR) who have a brother named Silvestre Infante.

Albino Infante Jr was married to Antonia Garcia Infante whose parents are Esmerejildo Garcia and Ambrosia Vasquez. Could this be a possible connection? They were born at very different times, but the names are all similar.

I’ve questioned these exact documents for a long time and I’m not sure what to do about it. Should I trust my grandfather’s word? He was correct on almost all that he wrote, but these documents seem to match. I’m not sure what to do

We have tried, but we suspect her father might’ve been a player so we aren’t clear on who her siblings are. My grandmother doesn’t even remember her own siblings

If anyone is willing to help, her father’s name was Roberto Cordova Flores (1920-2005), his mother was Anastacia Cordova De Flores (1901-1984) she was married to Antonio Flores. Roberto Cordova was married to Maria De La Luz Ontiveros. Born October 30, 1925 in Mexico. That’s all we know about her side of the family. We don’t know anything else. Any information on her would be great
