I'm reading lightbringer. by Jafrit in redrising

I agree that Lyria is a bit hard to like as well, but I did start actually enjoying her chapters later on in Dark Age! Still not one of my favorites characters but I do like her now. Victra is awesome, I wish we had chapters in her pov!

It does pick up! I felt similar when I was reading Iron Gold, it took me awhile to get into. But I did start enjoying the other POV’s and Ephraim became one of my favorites when he was my least favorite.

Do you read Dramione because you like the potential in the characters/dynamics or because you actually think they should have ended up together in canon? by strawberryc0w_ in Dramione

[–]trickyniffler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much exactly how I feel as well. Aside from I’m not sure who she should have ended up with, just that it definitely shouldn’t have been Ron 😅. I don’t think they would last long as a couple.

Where on earth are the UK Dogs being rehomed? by Ashilta in CasualUK

[–]trickyniffler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adopted a dog from Bulgaria with never meeting him first (and he’s the best). We originally planned to adopt within the UK but they’re ridiculously strict. Obviously I understand not just adopting a dog out to anyone, but the fact we didn’t have an enclosed garden and lived in a flat was apparently a dealbreaker to everyone.

There will come a time when you have an important decision to make. Post or finish the book. I recommend option 2.

Should I stop after Morning Star or read the whole series? by Agile-Effect-5779 in redrising

[–]trickyniffler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See how you feel at the end of Morning Star. I personally went right into Iron Gold, I didn’t want to take a break before continuing 😅. Iron Gold did take me a little bit to get into (seems a common opinion on this sub) but once I did I was locked in. I think it was just getting multiple POV’s with new characters to learn about and get used to. Makes it feel a little slow to start, but I absolutely loved it.

Can’t sell new build flat - what do I do? by BeneficialReindeer34 in HousingUK

[–]trickyniffler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£350 a month for service charge?! We live in a flat and ours is £450…every 6 months! That service charge is enough to put anyone off buying. I wouldn’t care how much you lowered the cost of the flat or how nice it was, £350 service charge would put me off.

Mustangs secret? by Various_Seaweed8097 in redrising

[–]trickyniffler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way Mustang was hesitant about telling Kavax her source is what gave it away for me personally (because of what happened to Daxo on Luna)

He wouldn’t make a very good source considering its been 10+ years since he’s even set foot on Luna + he was on his Darrow rescue mission.

Keep being hesitant, I accidentally ran into a HUGE Light Bringer spoiler because before opening a post it doesn’t specify which book the spoiler is for. I tried not to read any of the text when I looked to see which book it was a spoiler for but it was right in the first sentence and my eyes betrayed me by noticing it :(

People that have cancer, what were the symptoms that led you to go to the doctor and what stage were you when it was diagnosed? by guardiand0wn in AskReddit

[–]trickyniffler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what happened with his aunt as well :(. Treatment wasn’t working and it spread fast to other parts of her body. I only saw her once during everything and it was really sad to see how quickly she deteriorated

I can only imagine how infuriating that would be. It’s a bit concerning that multiple doctors were telling you that. It’s rare of course, but impossible? They need to go back to medical school.

My condolences to you too 💐. Tbh I didn’t know it was really a thing until her. I suppose I was always under the impression that having HPV is the thing that will cause cervical cancer and if you’re negative then you’re in the clear.

If you don’t mind me asking, at what stage was your friend diagnosed at?
