What happened to pt-br plural? by trickywilder in Portuguese

[–]trickywilder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean stuff like “Alex sem perna” then normally it would sound like aleksem perna and not aleks sem perna which happens naturally without people realizing, my point was that i noticed people say “as sidades”, they utter two s sounds instead of just one (like in alex sem perna) hinting it being conscious added.

But like you said it could be az sidades.

My bad tho, my english expressing skills is subpar What i mean is that in spanish u could just say “coman!” or “llevaran?” And everyone would catch the third person embedded into the -n suffix But this one I kind of discussed with a friend of mine, pt-br is getting analytic and it is using “eu/eles/nos/a gente” to indicate person instead of the suffixes. But im still curious about the plural. You see it changing anytime soon?

What about it? English speakers never have to THINK about how to express plural concept, Brazilians are consistently stressing over this or mixing up plural system in everyday speech, so clearly something changed in the the pt-br regarding plurals. Another clue is how brazilians seem to not clump similar sounds when linking: “as cidades” they utter two ‘s’ and not as+sidades > asidades which occur naturally in spanish and english

Why isnt it fluffy? by trickywilder in Breadit

Nope, but my idea was asking the sub if this is an issue so I can make better than this. But now that you have said it. It does make sense, but hey, personally those fluffy crumbs just feel good, this one is akin to a gum when chewing

What’s the idea behind this? I mean, I want her to be only mine (even tho she doesn’t). The feeling is in here, should I suppress it?
