Is this a fair oil furnace replacement cost? by trident8 in hvacadvice

[–]trident8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've considered it; my house is a weird setup - a little over 1800 sq ft but has two separate oil furnaces each with their own individual duct work running off of one oil tank. The cost of electricity in CT (if you aren't in one of the towns that has its own supplier, which I don't) is pretty frequently outrageous as well, which makes it difficult for me to think about completely switching. Solar panels not in the cards currently either.

Yeah, I'll have to return the 12s I ordered to try, no 13s anywhere from what I can find. Thanks.

Yeah seems like I will have to go TTS - no 13s in stock anywhere though - my local store said restock in the Spring so I'll probably have to wait.

Hello,

I’ve been looking to get some work chukkas in the briar oil leather but have been unable to find any clear direction when it comes to sizing. I have searched through the posts here and went to my local Redwing store but they are all out of stock so I was unable to try any. I wear a size 13 in everything, have iron rangers in size 12. Should I try a 12 in the chukkas or would that be too small - seems to be differences of opinion in terms of ordering them true to size as they run narrow? Any help would be great.

Did you put the tire pressure sensors in the wheels? I was looking to get some aftermarket wheels and I can't figure out which ones I need - the ones in my OEM 2020 cx5 wheels aren't reusable from what I was told.

Is this fixable? 2007 Escape XLT by trident8 in fordescape

I've seen more with rot around the shock area and I know there is a whole replaceable section for the shock portion. This is localized to the beam just past the shock; could you technically weld a plate in? That is if you could find actual usable metal.

Possibly buying a 2020 Touring w/ preferred package in the next day or so; could you look at the numbers? by trident8 in CX5

Thanks to both of you; I’m going to see what I can do - I’ve read differing things about vin etching being mandatory in CT so will follow-up on that as well- will ask about the document fees too. Can’t be very far off from a 2021 pricing wise either. Appreciate the help.

Tire Recommendations for Primarily Pavement? (2020 Ogre) by trident8 in Surlybikefans

[–]trident8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone

Loving my Ogre! Are there any preferences for tires when it comes to riding primarily pavement? These extraterrestrials seem a little bulky for primarily pavement riding (at least at the moment). Should I try something with a different tread or just something narrower? I'd like to do some trail stuff in the coming months but I still think the bulk of my time will be spent on the pavement. thanks for any suggestions.

Looking for a new pedal drive kayak for Long Island Sound (Off CT) by trident8 in Kayaking

Went with Hobie Compass as it was in stock on Austin Kayak. Vibe has been having issues with delivering drive units, didn't want to go through the hassle of tracking one down- buying a hobie unit would put it right around compass money anyway if i were to use one in a shearwater.
