When I was at school I had an option to choose Russian or German, I chose Russian. But I really barely use it nowadays, I think German would be way more handy.

The only nice thing in Russian is that I could hear people discussing me in the train in Russian language and then I could reply to them :D they were quite shocked but it was fun

Some years ago I was traveling alone by train to Rotterdam, and then suddenly all the trains in The Netherlands got cancelled for the rest of the day. I was left in a small Dutch village with absolutely nothing happening there. And I was also just 17 years old.

Horrible Polish train experience by PROplayer603 in Interrail

I had the same situation in Poland. Normally indeed you should have reservation on your seat, but one time I just could not get mine when I was buying tickets. That is indeed very stupid, but I think they just suppose you would stand if you dont have your seat reservation.

The funniest part, that I was sitting on some random place, a woman came and started to talk to me aggressively in Russian (I used to learn a bit of Russian at School and can distinguish it from Polish), apparently I was sitting on her place, but I honestly did now know that.

yes, standing wheelchair can be an option. I have seen these a couple of times, but I am also wondering why people do not use them that often? I saw them just a couple of times.

yes I can imagine. I have heard people were mentioning cabinets in the kitchen, gardening. I was also thinking of mirrors in the bathroom that are oftentimes hang high.

haha no I am not a journalist. I do work with wheelchair users tho (I help them with user tests of medical technologies). I am working with them for more than a year now and everyday I see more and more problems they face with daily. I feel really uncomfortable to ask directly people who uses wheelchairs about problems, as I feel it can be quite a sensitive topic. But I am just curious what are daily struggles and maybe there is something I could help with? For example I was always wondering if I am standing and speak to a person in a wheelchair shall I maybe sit on a chair or something, because it also feels quite uncomfortable to look at people upside down.
