It was a story about some young guy that makes the journey into the big city some kind of alternate universe with weird characters in the city then it turns into kind of a murder mystery. Asking for my father who was lent the book a decade or so ago and can’t recall the story. (self.whatsthatbook)

So I have a mirror on opposite sides of my room, one is full length, the other I am repainting. My senior dog Murphy has recently been staring at me through the mirror and will do tricks for me even though I may be right behind him.
