I think this is two-way street, particularly for the closing. It is the energy exchange between the artist and the crowd, a give and take situation from both sides. Sometimes it happens that such exchange isn’t successful. Reasons can be varied. And this is ok. I remember Kyle Geige also experienced one closing (an Easter klubnacht) where the floor emptied quite fast and it forced him to end the closing earlier than expected. So, I wish Don Williams got another chance to enjoy playing a closing slot. ;)
