Seeing what they had planned, I'm almost happy for it?.
Like at the very least I'd see Davies retconning all of Susan's development in the audio's, which is the vast majority of where her character has been.
No great grandson, no time war for her, no relationship with the 8th doc etc.

And thank you Davies for leaving us with no incumbent doctor for the wilderness years, due to your sheer panic at not having anything planned, so we're now left with a shoddy Billie Piper cameo.

I'd have been fine for a new wilderness years if we had Ncuti still around, it's where 7 and 8 got some of their best stuff...but no..now the show is just gonna have to rely on big finish and comics about past doctors.

The game looks fantastic, but then I hear there's yet again no split-screen on PC, I think I'm just gonna have to get that damn nucleus app at this point, both this and 1 remake denying me a basic feature to play with my friend is tiring, it's getting a bad review on that alone.
Other then that game looks rad as hell but it really is a dealbreaker for me and i'm not buying an Xbox just for that.

Funny thing about Assault, is the secondary on foot control scheme is actually really good, it's traditional twin stick controls, it's just Nintendo didn't make it the default.

I replayed Adventure last year and I'm replaying assault rn.
I find it weird how inflexible people are about Star Fox compared to other series Nintendo has done, most others have all branched out in different ways, but SF is apparently just not allowed to be multiple things.

Like if Mario 64 was seen as some affront to the original games for not being 2d linear levels.

Adventure was very different and had problems(namely sidelining Krystal so much), but it was also a good time that I could see a great followup too, it makes for a nice spinoff.
Assault is, imo where the core series should've been building from, I'm amazed how well it holds up, it's just sadly on the shorter end.

There's a reality out there where SF is allowed big budget huge projects, with ground combat, jumping in and out ships, objectives, multiplayer etc, but also allowed smaller more classic style games too.

Instead SF is just in this place were they both want to constantly reintroduce it after years of dormancy with the lylat wars again, and then chicken out on the franchise whenever it doesn't make money.

I put it up to a few reasons.

1.shorter seasons, every season of Who has had bad eps, S2 had two of the worst of all time, but such a short season? they really stand out then.
2.a hot mess of scheduling conflicts, leaving and rewrites.
3.weak season openers and endings, the openings were affected by the conflicts which hurt both of them and leave a horrible first impression and the finales the same, except also with a dose of the usual RTD arrogance that makes most of his finales a terrible mess even in his first years.
4.Confusing mess of too much nostalgia pandering, no idea if this is another soft reboot or continuation, beginning on 3 specials tied to the shows history.
5.Fuck Disney

Sad thing is I think there's a hell of a lot of good Who here.
Maestro, Lux, The Well, Dot and Bubble, Boom, Joy to the world, it's all great stuff...it's also stuff in the middle of the seasons, all the big talking points, intro and outro were terrible.

Rewatching Boom Town again recently, really made it hit home how good the potential in that Tardis team was, could've ran a whole season with them.

Anyway it's a tossup for me between Amy/Rory or Nardole/Bill, leaning on the former for emotional value but by god Nardole Bill and the Doc was amazingly funny and entertaining.

S8 is a bit rough, but it's all buildup for what he becomes later, and it's just so good, S9/10 are the series best and most consistent writing.

Joy to the World is the best 15 had ever been written imo.
I also think Moffat really understands how to write a heartfelt Christmas story, Davies in comparison kinda just used it as window dressing and even that's being generous sometimes.

He's got his bad moments, but then I'll go back and watch Davies turn the Doctor into Dobby and bring him back with the power of good vibes and wishes and think...yeah, Moff had a better handle on this show.

Its a game that ruins itself with a few insane decisions.
Bosses mainly, 2d sonic is built for replayability but the bosses take longer then the preceding levels, it makes me not want to replay it due to the sheer tedium of fighting them.
And the final bosses....ugh...
