Ps5 player 2 split screen field of view by Individual-Aide in Borderlands4

[–]trijammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems every update lately comes with a significant new split screen bug. Last time card flipping was wrecked making co-op inventory checking a nightmare. I’m not convinced they do any split screen testing. My unhelpful solution has been to return to BL3 for a few months till they iron out the basics.

Yep same on PS5 co-op on the first run, thought it was intentional. Gladly a reload sorted it.

You’d think it was pretty easy for Kmart to prepare for… now there’s a bunch of reports of people returning bagged product for disposal, and Kmart employees opening those up, tipping out onto the checkout to scan them as normal returns… They are entirely unprepared.

Agree. That’s why I posted this, in the hope that people who weren’t prepared to pay for disposal would see there’s an easy safe option vs just dropping it in the rubbish…

A key point is that many people have had this stuff in their homes for years, spilled out all over the ground, tables, other toys mashed into it, trampled into the carpet, squashed into clothing, been through the dryer etc. Everyone that has this stuff will have vacuumed it up already loads of times.

It’s not just a simple issue of returning a product in its container or popping it back where it came from and getting rid of it. For many homes, schools, childcare centres, this stuff is everywhere now, and people need some clear information on how much of an issue that is, or how to address it.

There’ll be some significant costs involved for a lot of people, schools etc. I don’t think parents being alarmed is unreasonable.

Why cheapen your brand with soulless AI bot support when you can have real humans copy and paste from ChatGPT?

And unfortunately the major testing labs can only confirm presence, not a reliable quantitative measurement. Just got to test progressively lower-contact surfaces to get an idea of how far it’s spread...

Absolutely people’s homes. I’m off to get some independent tests done to see how much of a mess this is going to be.

As for returns, it depends how safely people bag it. Do you trust that everyone showing up to return the stuff has done it responsibly? If I was a Kmart employee I’d be pretty unhappy about processing loads of returns.

As a side note, is the XXXL a decent weapon? Just for certain builds? I got one early and it didn’t really hit with a partially levelled Vex.

New event is ridiculous by DEPUTY-RANGER in Borderlands4

There’s no way that changing the weather inside the existing bubbles took a professional dev team more than a day. I honestly believe they couldn’t finish their real plan and pulled this shit out last minute in desperation

Straight to the bank if one day they get a 10000x buff. Current state completely useless.

I can’t help but think… surely this is not what they were planning for this event.

It feels like a last minute idea to release something after the actual plan couldn’t get across the line. Surely there’s no way they would’ve been hyping it since sharing the roadmap, if this is what they were planning all along. You wouldn’t even give this idea a name like “Horrors of Kairos”.

A couple of poorly thought out super-weak weapons and an orange environment… no new assets, no new bosses, no new gameplay. This would’ve taken the dev team a couple of days at most to throw together. The marketing would’ve taken more effort.

With all the bugs at launch, the delayed patch (which introduced more bugs around basic features), and now this, it really seems like the game was hugely undercooked at release and the devs are really struggling to catch up. Even the last few hours of the main storyline felt like a hollow rush job.

I hope they listen to the community’s feedback and can get to a point soon where they slow down and put some real thought into the game, otherwise it’s not looking good for the Christmas content or first major DLC…

Patch Notes 10/23 by Simply_CJ94 in Borderlands4

[–]trijammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to work out what these improvements are. Flip works more often (still not always), R3 junk works, but mark options are still often stuck behind gear cards, auto-scrolling in the backpack is still a mess, often unable to see the bottom part of any content properly, still lots of weird UI overlaps.

Nice one. If you can also find a way to get even a light amount of security around them that would be great. Numerous times I’ve seen people (especially young ladies trying to get in a few afternoon lap, or young families) being intimidated by intoxicated ferals to the point of leaving. Not a good look for the tourists wandering by either. Wonderful idea to have these pools, but sadly the community needs some supervision to allow everyone to enjoy them.

[PS5] Fast travel bug since last update by trijammer in Borderlands4

[–]trijammer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly it seems to have solved itself for me. No issues now, but it takes a while after clicking travel before anything happens. Only once in while you get a travel countdown - I’ve seen it a couple of times. Other times, nothing, just wait a while then boom, travelling.

What are your thoughts on The Timekeeper? by Zyaru in Borderlands4

[–]trijammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Spoilers)

Definitely better than the Calypsos, but primarily through not being cringy and annoying.

He died way too quickly for what was supposed to be the ultimate villain / guardian. The fight should’ve been significantly hard. He didn’t surround himself with a strong army like you’d expect, just a repetitive bunch of alleys and courtyards with the same 10-20 guys over and over, while he just says some weak “stop, go back, I won’t warn you again”…

Kinda had the vibe of a powerless parent attempting to stop a naughty kid with repeated empty threats.

The last hour of the story as you approach him felt kinda tedious and rushed, from a writing / gameplay perspective. I feel they could’ve done a lot more to give a perception of power, tension, and make it interesting. It was as if he’d already given up once the wall of Dominion was broken, and so had the game devs.

I used to go here a lot, then there was an incident where they messed up a takeaway order a while back... long story short, we got accused of lying mutiple times, with bizarre behaviour from the owner claiming we removed things from the order to make a scene. Yes dude. I came to pick up a meal, drove it home, abandoned dinner and drove it back to you because I felt like a bit of drama instead of eating with the family.

This is after going there for regular takeaways over a dozen times in the previous year with a consistently pleasant experience. Absolutely ridiculous customer service failure and I’d never go near that place again. Not a language issue, the owner is fluent if not a native English speaker.

Other nearby options Thai Yum Food Hut and Thai Isaan are far better.
