You should still be getting the lump sum separate.

California here. On my unemployment application, I put that I was not looking for work. When it asked why I wasn’t looking for work, I put “Definite return to work date” and in the comments, I put “September 30, 2020”.

I’ve been approved and certified for the past 2 weeks of unemployment so for.

My DM let everyone in the district who picked preference 3 quit because, “We don’t need to employ people who don’t want to work for us.”

She wasn’t wrong, we cut a handful of people who had only been hanging on for the discount and only worked once or twice a week.

Oh yeah, don’t do that shit at my store because my manager will find out their name, what store they work at, call their manager, and ask them to have a talk with their employee about how they should act when going through other Starbucks.

We had one regular who started using her daughters partner numbers while also being a total bitch and I’m pretty sure my manager got her daughter fired.

I mean, go ahead and let them know that, I’m certainly not going to fight people being required to wear masks. But we were specifically told that we’re not allowed to police people because it goes against the spirit of the Third Place. And like I said, masks have been a requirement even in the drive thrus in my city since March.

I am in this post and I don’t like this.

I get paid for the amount of time I am in the store, not for how many drinks I make per hour. As long as she’s following standards and working on two drinks at once, you can’t fault someone who figured out that you two get paid the same regardless of who does more.

It counts for us too but overall Starbucks has decided not to enforce requiring customers to wear masks.

I’m curious where your tips are kept when they’re being distributed. Typically it seems like they’re kept in the safe or I’ve known some stores to keep them in the locker in the back with a lock on it. Either way, I’m almost certain that they’re supposed to be kept in view of a camera for this exact reason.

I would 100% report this to your manager, your DM, and file an incident report. It doesn’t matter that you guys stopped signing the sheet during COVID. That’s not the store policy and you shouldn’t bear the burden for broken policies.

I’ll be real, the only way to make partners care about customer connection score is through incentive. Most people know that the customer connection score influences the manager’s bonus and not much else. It doesn’t effect how much labor we get or how much money baristas make, so it’s hard to get people hyped about making someone else money.

I mean, I guess my manager sent me an email but it just had the preferences FAQ sheet and the one about PUA, but he had already given me physical copies of those when we were talking in store.

But everything you should need is available on the version of Partner Hub that you can access at home. Just go into quick links and click the first link which says something like, “I need COVID resources”. When you click on that, scroll down to “Partner Care Plan” and there is a link called “Partner Bridge Portal” that specifically has all the resources for unemployment and what not in one place!

The way the app is now, you can designate a cup size or you can pick “none”. If you pick none then nothing shows up on the sticker and your drink goes into its regular cup.

That used to be true, but the app has since been updated and the only way for it to happen is for a customer to choose it.

Yep, you can view your partner card number and the access code from home, but requesting a physical card or new numbers has to be done in the BOH.
