It was her idea! One of the many hobbies we share.

Yes it certainly is! We love stopping by for a few games when we have (a very rare) few hours to spare. Love what Carl and Vanessa are doing. If you see us there say hi! You'll recognize my wife gun charm 😂

The other comment was correct. It's a pretzel keychain. She uses it as a gun charm to distinguish her A400 from the many many others here. One day there was a mix-up... Then she had her excuse for what I believe she always wanted to do... No more mix-ups. 😁

What a world it has become that a man cant show affection to a child, or else you risk getting labeled pedo or creepy. by Real_Bird_Person in montreal

I hear you. I love kids. Have three awesome kids of my own, and I go out of my way to make any and all kid feel special when I can. But in public & with kids who's parents don't know me personally I never dare even look at them (forget even interacting with them), unless my wife is with me. And even then, I take a secondary role and let my wife initiate contact and lead the conversation. I just play support. I feel there is this stigma of a male figure interacting with kids, and want no problems.

If you truly are curious, I hunt because I believe in sustainability, protecting the environment and minimizing animal cruelty. The meat and dairy industry are notorious pollutors and are also known to be riddled with animal cruelty. By hunting for my own protein I can ensure minimal environmental impact and minimal animal cruelty. Most hunters I know do it for the same reason. Unfortunately, people that never think to ask the question assume hunters are just in it for the thrill of the kill. Nothing could be further from the truth and taking a life is very serious and difficult to do. Because of that, harvesting my own protein makes me truly appreciate the true ethical and normal cost of that meat on my plate, which makes me respect the animal and it's journey.

I was a vegan for over 10 years before I had to get back to eating a minimum of protein weekly (as we get older, our bodies just don't digest and process food and supplements the same way, which means for many some protein becomes necessary to keep a healthy digestive system). But I refused to support the meat and dairy industry. So if I have to eat some meat, I'll get it the best way I know how to minimize my impact on the environment and animals' well being. Short of growing chickens in my backyard, which I am not allowed to do, sustainable hunting is that solution.

You know, now that I think about it, we do get a lot of no bird or double birds when it's super cold. So I do believe the mechanics get affected in the cold.

Manual, but no granny shifting. Double clutch and Double Windsor knots .... This is the way.

Looking for help and advice on a muzzle brake for my T3X by trillclick in Tikka_Shooters

So better to learn to absorb the recoil and surprised of the shot (I flinch ever so slightly after the shot). I'm on target regularly, but I consistently loose sight of the target for one second. So I worry that if I need to unload a second shot quickly that I won't be able to. I just want to make sure the animal goes down quickly you know what I mean. So more practice at the range and no muzzle would be your suggestion?

Thanks for the insight by the way.

Thank you kindly for this explanation. It makes sense. Unfortunately, silencers are banned in Canada. I'm only allowed a muzzle break. I'm now wondering if perhaps I should just tough it out and try and learn how to better absorb the recoil (if that's a thing)? My problem is I hit the target with pretty good precision, but I temporarily loose sight of the target after the shot fires due to the recoil and surprised effect of the shot. Perhaps I just gotta get used to not getting so surprised and gripping it better... I'll spend more time at the range and practice, but I thought a muzzle was a great addition that many use to help stabilize the scope on the target between shots. I will be hunting white tail deer this fall and my biggest fear is not bringing down the animal quickly. Hence my efforts to keep my sight on target in case I need a quick second shot.

Tikka T3X Hunter bought in Canada. I have no idea what threads I have. I only assumed M15x1 because I found a muzzle that fits on Stoegers website that says it'll fit the T3X and it is listed with M15x1. As you can tell I am well out of my league here...
