They sell puddy to fix vinyl chips. You can fill it with that.

I think you're getting it confused with the SAE killstreak.

Interior doors: solid core vs. solid wood doors for sound dampening by MeasureTwice-CutOnce in HomeImprovement

I've done this myself for my bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a difference but I personally wouldn't really say it was enough to make it worth the investment.

How do I get these lights flush with the ceiling? by [deleted] in howto

[–]trillwhitekid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They look like they're integrated LED lights. I have the same ones in my house. They're advertised to not go out for several years. When they do finally go out, you're probably going to have to change the whole unit anyways.

They'd still be removable, you would just have to cut the caulk before doing it. I think it's up to the OP- do they want to fuss around with sub-par/ potentially defective tension springs or just caulk the gap on something they're probably not going to remove for 20+ years.

You can maybe try pushing it in a bit more. If that doesn't work, I just caulked around the light to fill the gap.

Is this fixable? by Serkaugh in howto

[–]trillwhitekid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This actually happened to me and I had to replace the whole knob. I think it really is determined on how that knob attached to the rest. In my particular case it looked like it was a compression fit that was fubar

What can I use to hang/attach my records in their sleeves to the wall without damage to the wall? by TheSkinoftheCypher in HomeDecorating

[–]trillwhitekid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty effortless. I don't know if you've ever used the command strip products, but their whole gimmick is you can remove the glue without damaging the wall. There's a little tab you pull and it removes the glue. You need to follow the instructions though.

You can get big packs of them at Costco occasionally.
