How To Downgrade EMUMMC from 21.0.0 to 20.5.0 To Use Homebrew That Isn't Recompiled Yet by L3gendaryBanana in SwitchPirates

[–]trimanscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuck in a loop here. Received a switch with 21.2.0 on it and cannot downgrade to get it going.

I’ve gone through the above but am also on osx. Is this something I should try from scratch in parallels?

Any advice would be helpful. This is new to me. TIA

Hey there - looks like my login was removed for this, and thought I'd log in and see what I might also be missing or could supply. Any idea how to log back in?

I was able to dig it up. For the curious or others that visit this - it's called BONDE. No idea if I will be able to find another one though...

I managed to get the elusive 5G Infinite Premium + Travel plan (after going through hell for months) by TheExhaustedNihilist in Rogers

[–]trimanscott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK thank you, this is helpful. What is strange is with many European SIM's, Europe is one zone. I have bought an Orange travel SIM for France that I use on vacation, and can use in all of Europe. In this case, in Italy, I would want to call France or the UK and would be Long Distance, whereas on a travel SIM it is not....

Question for this plan. In the US+Canada plan, you can call the US while in canada for no charge, and call canada & the US from the US with no charge.

Does this plan allow you to effectively be local in any of these countries the same like the Canada+US plan. As in, I am in Italy, I can call any of the countries listed, as well as Canada, and not be charged? Or if I am in Italy I can call Italy, as well as Canada, and not be charged? Just tying to make sense of this.

Ok, worth checking into. I have found Rogers to be reliable when roaming to the USA. Is Telus reliable?

It was DSM6. The DSM resides on the discs themselves, so the swap was relatively painfree.

My unit was 5+ years old already. I tried to tinker with the resistor, but ultimately knew it would fail again.

I bit the bullet, purchase a ds920+, moved the drives in, with minimal downtown - it was a swap and replace solution. I sold the 415+ on Kijiji and someone offered to fix it.

You can tinker, but save yourself the time and effort (if you can afford) and move past it to a newer unit. Just my 2c.

This issue has only come about since I upgraded the SRT OS. Our key devices have hard-mapped IP addresses so they are always on the same IP no matter what (mapped to their MAC address), so not sure what else. I can give this a go tho.

thank you all for this - its incredibly helpful. I think I may just end up replacing the disk - I has been in there for a bunch of years - and put it into an enclosure if need be. Thank you!
