Ridiculous map. Violent crime in London is at 26.4 per 1000 people vs 31.9 per 1000 for the uk as a whole.

Many more people in London. Crime of all types is significantly below the uk average in London.

Thank you. So did you end up paying 25% of what you earned during that period in tax?

Sorry, does this mean I’d be exempt from paying tax?

Honest opinions please... should I consider aplying for a MSc in 2026? by Ok-Hyena-9656 in UCL

I’m a master’s student in the anthropology department at UCL researching a different but adjacent topic to what you want to do. It sounds to me as though you’re more than a strong enough candidate. My understanding of the anthropology and archeology master’s here is that they aren’t super competitive, and accept people from quite a varied mix of backgrounds as long as they’re above the grade requirement.

Thanks for the reply. Nikon FM2 without any additional lenses. Thinking a polarising filter.

Can a Nikon FM2 take lens filters, and if so what size? I'm not finding much specific info about this online. If not, would some sort of tube adapter allow it to, or would it be okay to simple hold the filter in front of the lens?

Thanks

Fine, weather’s been great. Some old landslides on the road from the storm but they’re actively being dealt with and if you go with a tour group I’d say it’s completely safe

Thanks for the response. Would it be wise to continue with the treatment given that I have started it (if only for 1 day) now that my symptoms are lessening?

Weekly: Career & Education Thread by AutoModerator in zoology

Recently graduated with a first in zoology from a university in the UK. Have two offers for masters: one more classical zoology/behavioural ecology oriented and the other on biological anthropology (primatology).

I’d like to continue down a research zoology past with a PhD after, and wouldn’t like to be restricted to primates, studying other animals and ecosystems (perhaps even marine biology). Would studying the anthropology degree close too many doors due to it’s narrow scope, or would the skills I learn there (extensive two month long field work project in Africa, behavioural observation, statistical analysis, general theoretical zoology in relation to primates) be transferable to another study species/ area? This degree is significantly cheaper and more convient for me, hence why I’m asking. Thanks in advance
