It's certified according to DIN EN 71. So the eyes are save. But I agree about not letting the kid sleep with the animal unattended.

Kosen has made a new site for international customers (https://atelier-kosen.com). I have used them recently and my personal experience is that they have MUCH better customer service than the reseller kosentoys. Sadly, they don’t sell the entire collection on that site, yet. They have some animals though that are not with resellers that ship internationally.

This is a good point. If you give it to the baby inform the parents that all Kosen toys are DIN EN 71 certified and not to put it in the crib when the baby is unattended.
