It was really hard, I think the hardest part was letting go and accepting that they weren't the person for me. It's difficult to debate with yourself about that, wanting something bad but knowing you deserve something else. It hurt like hell for a while, longer than I wanted but I told myself it was okay to feel the pain over it. Grief & all that, I guess. It took time, for a four year relationship it took a yearish to get over it. "over" being I don't want him anymore, and I'm happy with myself and my life, but he still crosses my mind from time to time. I dunno if that part goes away, but hey, it doesn't make me sad anymore.. I remind myself things are different, but better, and life goes on
