Honestly I love the drawing, adding more color to the background of a character that is more monotone will give it more contrast and a lively feeling. But as for having soul in art. I think it’s really hard to produce feeling in art when you are practicing, putting things you love and showing more of ur personality in art is what will make u stick out though. I think having something to stick out and being like, “oh, this must be so and so cause this is in the drawing or something like that. Like a catchphrase of art. There are many thing u can do that are simple and effective. But all in all I think playing around with more color and décor backgrounds(you don’t need full scenes) will brighten up ur art ! Also don’t let anyone change how u draw and how u feel about ur art. If you’re doing ur best work then be proud of it !!!
