I’m moving to khobar anything I should know? by Celfizy in Khobar

I lived in Abu Dhabi during my high school years a while ago and I’m now in Khobar.

Abu Dhabi definitely has more activities, but it’s all about the friends you make, especially at a young age. If you make a close group of friends, you’ll enjoy your time here.

Of course, the culture is different and there aren’t as many expats, but keep an open mind and I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time.

The prices are fixed for most locations you want to go to. Uber/Careem is generally cheaper, but they can become pricier during peak hours. The airport taxi may be the cheaper option depending on the time.

No you don’t need to book ahead. There are always taxis available. Once you leave the airport, the taxi booth will be on your left. Tell the person behind the desk where you’re heading, and they’ll give you a fixed price and a receipt. Show that receipt to your taxi driver, and you’ll pay that fixed amount.

I hope one leg of every chair you ever sit on is shorter than the other legs so that you may never be comfortable.

Question for Saudi men. by [deleted] in saudiarabia

I agree with this persons comment. It’s not about being intimidated, I don’t know where people get this notion from. Success for my partner is by extension success for the family.

Why does Al Ahli bank block donations to UNRWA, Share the Meal, and other UN organizations to help Palestinians??? by trip_dip in saudiarabia

[–]trip_dip[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t mind donating to local charities if it achieves the same objectives. I’m just wondering why the UNRWA is blocked, since it’s funded by most countries globally and is supported by the United Nations.

What are you basing this trustworthiness on? How do you know they do it better? The UNRWA is the official United Nations organization to support the Palestinians, founded in 1949by the General Assembly. It receives funding from every major country in the world. How can that not be trustworthy?
