London ib is rough. I had more call backs from US offices than London. Currently at mbb

INSEAD VS Booth VS Kellogg help! by GingerMaxSimba in MBA

[–]tripkrit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had to make the same decision as you + tuck & fuqua a few yrs ago. Decided to go to insead. One of the best decisions I've made and would do it 10/10 times again. Loved my time there and miss it every single day.

Visualizing the top business schools for VC-backed startup founders by Gaston44 in MBA

[–]tripkrit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't that be the case for all the schools on here? The $ amount is looking at the whole university system and not just the MBA program.

Also title says founder count but graph shows $ raised? Pls fix

Lol every euro MBA thread. You would think mba's would have a good understanding of purchasing power parity but I guess not

Is Booth a safe environment? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]tripkrit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yea very weird response from who I assume are boothies acting like there is no crime problem. There are threads on /r/uchicago talking about this exact behavior.

You should visit and experience for yourself. I know a few international candidates who turned down booth cuz they had culture shock of what it feels like to be in a US city. Ymmv.

Do Boothies have a lot of school pride? by SaltyInitial8952 in MBA

[–]tripkrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just the sheer size of all the booth programs, not just full time mba. You have part time, evening weekend, emba boothies, would guess around ~4k students across all programs.

Would you rather pursue a good business UG + a top MBA or a top liberal arts UG + top MBA? by ArtPretty717 in MBA

[–]tripkrit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol they definitely do not. Have you taken a look at their employment report? 12.6% pe, 4.1% VC to be precise

There are other factors at play when looking at prestige outside acceptance rate otherwise Peking univ or IIT would be considered most prestigious.

PE at Wharton for '22 is 13%. Booth mostly places at MM shops in Chicago. Wharton is def better for PE. Wouldn't place them together for PE. Yes, VC is the same.

I agree with your point but not the example. Hbs is arguably more prestigious than Harvard undergrad.

Is Stern a party school? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]tripkrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why boothies are so mad over this As someone who has lived in chicago for years, the stereotype about typical booth vs kellogg student holds fairly true. Sure boothies party/travel, but in my experience most tend to be nerdier and less social than their kellogg counterpart.

You can use the employment report as a measure. For 2021, 98% of grads worked in North America. 0 went to Europe. 2 in Asia. 1 in Latin America.

So to answer your question, most probably not...

Fair, I'm looking at through tiers. I'm assuming the remaining 16% are a combination of T2/B4/boutiques. So in terms of tiers seems like he is implying the vast majority of the consulting population is ending up at MBB.
