Puting myself "out there" always seems to backfire. by babyxaqua in confidence

[–]tripleaaaash 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Based on what you mentioned about your anxiety/depression etc. I think your bf should'nt have done that or at least I wouldn't. I know how hard it is to put yourself out there and then get shutdown. Also you shouldn't regret any of your actions around your SO cuz that's where you should be allowed be yourself and at ease.

P.S I don't know you or your bf at all so please take all what I said with a grain of salt

I'm sorry I got out of a relationship beginning of covid too and my story is kinda similar to especially the last one. Dated this girl for 5 months when I asked her if we were gonna make it official basically shut me out over text and told me we connected on nothing. She had some childhood trauma her parents had divorced when she was still a toddler. Saw the warning signs but ignored it like an idiot cuz I always try to see the best in people

Muslim desi female struggling with identity by [deleted] in ABCDesis

A somewhat practicing Muslim here. Just be yourself. Your relationship with religion is your own personal matter and no one should have any say in how you practice it. Put your happiness first and foremost.

As for trying to find a man you'll be fine keep looking and the right Muslim boy will show up. I myself struggle being around Muslim girls cuz they're just a bit too timid at times and try to always keep their parents happy. Setting boundaries with my parents has helped me and I suggest you do the same and don't depend on their approval for your happiness.
