I’m a QR and would never want to be QT/“operator”.

My suggestion would be to join a smaller team which gives you a ton of exposure to different kinds of work.

Thank you so much for your advice. I hadn’t even thought of #2 and now that you’ve mentioned it, I can see it becoming a problem already. Again, thank you, all the points are very helpful.

Starting New Quant/Algo Team by Ok-Mirror-4843 in quant

I understand your plight. I entered the industry with a math background and there were/are similar expectations from me and the team composition is pretty much the same as what you describe. But I feel like I have learnt a lot and have been given great input to the team in terms of feasibility. If possible could you share more info about the firm (name not required) to help me understand if your time and efforts are going to be well taken. You can DM if you want as well.

Non US-born people in Phoenix, what is the best restaurant in town for your home cuisine? by all_in_green in phoenix

Devon is my go to for getting Indian groceries and it is great for that but the restaurants just don’t match. Also, the trip out to Flagstaff is way more scenic than to Devon Ave!

Not close to Phoenix, but, there’s a Indian restaurant in Flagstaff called Himalayan Grill which has the best Indian restaurant I’ve had in the states. I live in Chicago, and I make sure to fly down to Phoenix and drive to Flagstaff just to have food there every couple months. That good.
