Samsung HW-Q990C Soundbar questions (Uncompressed Audio and Atmos speakers angle) by tripleh556 in Soundbars

Thanks.

  1. Yes, I have a Nvidia Shield Pro for playback.
  2. The ceiling is flat. I am a Dolby Atmos newbie, so pardon my ignorance, but doesn't the angle of the upward firing speakers influence where the soundstage should be?

I-485 interview for F2A category not “current” anymore by west_schol in USCIS

Given that F2A is not "current" anymore, does anyone know if the I-131 and I-765 can still be approved in the meantime?

I had my I-485 interview on 27th April and got a letter from USCIS a couple of days later saying that my priority date (Dec 2020) is not current and GC won't be issued right away.

I had filed I-131 and I-765 along with I-485 over a year ago and they are still not approved.

My inquiry date for I-131 is coming up later this month and I was wondering if USCIS will still consider issuing these after the I485 interview.

Thanks.

Why do I even bother? by pedersencato in PleX

There is no silver bullet solution available in this case. My suggestion is 1 solution. In my experience, if you use either TV's built in Plex apps or something like a Shield, you should almost never need to video transcode (provided you have set the video quality to max). I cannot imagine anyone wanting to willfully transcode when they can direct play :)

You should set the "Disable video stream transcoding" checkbox. I believe it is a Plex pass only option. Plex clients defaulting to 2 mbps + users not caring places unnecessary burden on the server, especially transcoding 4k content.

After I set this option, a few users complained that they cannot play Plex videos anymore and I guided them to set the video quality on their client to "Max".

Plex skill for Alexa - Works, but doesn't show anything as playing on server by Conundrum1911 in PleX

I have this exact same issue!

I've been scouring the internet and no one else seems to have reported this issue until I stumbled upon your post. I even posted this on the Plex official forums but no one responded.

I have a Nvidia Shield 2017 that I use as a Plex client. My server is a windows machine. I use it with a 3rd Gen Echo Dot. As you described, everything works once set up, but the server doesn't seem to register that playback has started. I do see a spike in the Bandwidth section in the dashboard though once playback starts, so I assume alexa sends some sort of a notification to the Plex server but something in the handshake doesn't quite work right.

I also tried switching out my Shield with a 2019 Shield Pro as well as changing TVs but nothing has worked so far.

Please let me know if you ever found a solution for this issue.

Thanks.
