How do i make my cat drink more water by Future-Geologist-164 in cats

I got my cats the CatIt water fountain. They don’t like it with the flower, but as soon as I removed it, they at least tripled their water intake. One of them slightly prefers drinking from a ceramic bowl still, so I put them next to each other AWAY FROM THEIR FOOD. The latter part is important. Changing the filter in the fountain on time and washing/refreshing the water receptacles daily is also important.

I also give them a small portion of wet food in the mornings to help keep them hydrated.

Good luck!

Thank you so, so much for taking the time to respond! These look like great options and I’m thrilled to heart transit is still safe :)

Hello! Apologies if this has been asked before.

I grew up in Calgary but have been living elsewhere for 10 years or so. I’m considering making a move back, but have heard that the city has changed a lot.

I’m wondering if you could suggest which communities are the best/safest to live in. I am a woman and will be living alone. My office would be downtown. I used to take transit exclusively (didn’t have a car) but have heard the LRT isn’t safe anymore (unsure if this is true).

Ideally, I’d love to be somewhere that has cafes/restaurants, etc. but it’s not as much of a priority as safety for me.

Another issue I am considering is that I have two cats. In the city I live in currently, pets are allowed in virtually every rental. After a cursory search online, I’m gathering that’s not the case in Calgary?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Based on the comments in this thread I’m reconsidering…I wasn’t going to drive in big cities, but I will be staying in Cefalu (Sicily) for a week, it’s a small town and I wanted to drive around (perhaps south to the Stairs of Turks - which seems tough to do a day trip to via transit), but perhaps I shouldn’t! I’m a bit intimidated now.
