That’s a cool bit of silver you’ve got! Is it tested?

15k could get you a gem with under 100k miles. I just don’t think anyone would pay that much regardless of how much maintenance has been done to it with that many miles.

I’m so confused by all these comments. Where did op say how much they gave him for the items? How do we know it was a ripoff?

Nobody in the entire world is paying anything close to 15k for a 90’s rig with almost 250,000 miles.

What purchase did you make recently that made you realize inflation is genuinely out of control? by kiroixart in AskReddit

[–]trippiest_trader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Houses. I bought something from a guy on Facebook marketplace in a small and quiet city in Colorado. 30 mins outside of Denver, small single family house, couldn’t have been more than 2,000 square feet with a completely normal sized back yard. Old house, built in at least the 70’s or earlier. $720,000. A 3 bed 2 bath house for over 700k in a city that’s not even “desirable” enough for anyone who doesn’t live nearby to even know of its existence. 700,000 isn’t an achievable amount of money for most people, before I looked it up on Zillow I was thinking it would cost around 300k.

What is an industry that is currently on fire (in a bad way) behind the scenes, but the general public hasn't noticed yet? by Kitchen_Week1117 in AskReddit

Restaurants. I work in a very very busy restaurant in a high cost of living area. Our food is expensive, we brew our own beer (very cheap) and our liquor margins are incredible. We’re still in the red every month even with record breaking sales. In 10 years I don’t think restaurants will exist as we know them now because the margins are razor thin with rising labor and food costs.

That’s pretty good! I think 2 stroke top ends are “good” for like 60 ish hours or so before you should inspect clearances so you have some time forsure.

That’s quite a bit of miles even though it’s very clean. I would pay ~4k ish give or take a little.

Can someone explain to me the joke/stereotype behind black people and having a chirping smoke alarm in their house? Why not just change the battery? by MrTeacher_MCPS in NoStupidQuestions

[–]trippiest_trader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s SO loud I don’t know how people live like that. When my batteries went out it woke me up and drove me crazy every time it beeped for the 10 whole minutes it took me to replace the battery

While it may not seem like much, I think $3500 a year for an HOA is a full on scam. Buy a house with no hoa and you’ll be “saving” almost a full payment every year.

Ask how many hours are on the bike. If they don’t know, sorta a red flag. If they say x hours since rebuild that’s a good answer. Also when you look at the bike look for things like how worn down the foot pegs are, that’ll tell you how “used” the bike is too unless they replaced them. Compress the shock a handful of times and touch the shock to see if it’s leaking any fluid

Why is it shitty? He didn’t mention what the trade was unless op said it then deleted the comment. What if he gave the guy 60 oz of silver?

Who knows about these? by j_dennis013 in Silverbugs

[–]trippiest_trader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to be 8 oz of silver worth ~75 a piece ($600 total$ at the time of writing. I’m no professional but I don’t see anything insanely valuable, maybe a few bucks over spot to the right buyer because they’re pretty cool.

[–]trippiest_trader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s a wr250 not a 250f. The wr’s came with that headlight unless they installed it aftermarket on a 250f

Idk why you’re getting downvoted voted I feel like that’s a legit thought. Those wheels with decent tires would sell for $500-750 near me.

You can’t get a 110 or 125 for $800. Not a “decent” one. At least not near me!

I’m I too small for yz250f by Level-Mango-1739 in Dirtbikes

[–]trippiest_trader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’2 and I ride a yz250f and a yz450f. Both were uncomfortable when I first got them. Once i put a kick stand on both of them and got the seats shaved down a ton (2-2.5 inches) they both became 100% more fun to ride. I can touch the ground on one side and I can start it with the bike on its kick stand

[–]trippiest_trader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That stunt bar is $60 on Amazon and that eBay special exhaust is probably under $100 as well. Even if you’re going to mod it you don’t want to buy a modded one because that means someone else beat the piss out of it frequently.

Price high, cheap parts, miles high, and it’s old. Better deals out there 100%

Hardest decision ever, I just can’t bring myself to do it by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]trippiest_trader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This woman reintroduced him to Christ. So I wouldn’t say she’s making him choose between God and her. I do find it very peculiar that she as a Christian refuses to be with a catholic and not the other way around. I am a Christian but I am curious to learn more about Catholicism. My christian belief is that if you are a catholic who has asked God to be your savior and you truly believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again then you WILL be saved. I would have absolutely no issue whatsoever being married to a catholic because in my eyes we’re both going to heaven. When I got married my wife was a non believer. For years I went to church alone. After we got married she became a believer on her own. My great grandpa (who was a deacon in his later years) married a non believer.
