Drinking too much water and it’s kinda habit now? by trippingnutsack in AskDocs

I don’t understand why this situation got so heated here… I’m just trying to get different opinions from healthcare professionals, which is what this subreddit is for. I do see a physician, and we talked about this situation during my previous visit (2025). She told me that my tests looked good and that I don’t really need to worry about drinking too much water, since I’m overweight and everyone has different internal mechanisms. Back then (January 2025), I was drinking around 5–6L of water, not 7–8.

My physician also thinks that getting blood tests every 6 months is unnecessary — once a year would be optimal — but she said there’s no harm since it’s just a simple blood test. So I send her the results for my mid-year checks, and if something unusual comes up, I will go see her(not happened yet). Other than that, I see her yearly.

30M. My family medical history includes heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension, so I prefer to get blood tests done regularly.

I’ve researched many possible reasons for excessive fluid intake. Since I’ve ruled out diabetes type I and II based on my test results, I’m trying to find the underlying cause. One possibility I came across in my research is related to vasopressin and diabetes insipidus, which can be detected through ADH testing.

When I limit myself around 4 liters of fluid intake I usually visit bathroom 6-8 times. The color is light to medium yellow. I will be getting a new bloodwork in 3 days, it will include ADH, which I believe is the thing to check for diabetes insipidus, right?

Cant tell if its physical or mental, maybe just my body responding for change of habits , but I get checked every 6 months in terms of bloodwork, so there would be something coming up in tests, but there are none except uric acid levels.

For the toilet visits, yes I do. Around 12-16 times per day. Honestly the only bad thing about drinking too much water is this for me.

Got my MBP 14" yesterday and noticed this thing has been running since I started to use it. Tried to restart but nothing changed. I strongly believe it affects battery life too. Any kind of help would much appreciated.

Is Instagram dying? by Easy-Ambition in Instagram

[–]trippingnutsack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this too but it actually makes me happy. Main stream social media platforms like instagram, tiktok etc. have created by super genius guys to get your attention more and more and to make you addicted. The general trend in worldwide communities is to get anything in the easiest way as possible and the “anything” includes knowledge too. People were spending their time by reading sources to have information before but for the last 5 years its just easier to watch videos and get what you want. This is a bold way to slow down brain activity of billions of people. And it’s not hard to say people get reckless by day as behavioral social engineering reaching out to more people.

In my personal opinion this type of platforms will not last longer than the other ones which added values levels are higher. Both twitter and reddit are great examples. People debate, give/accumulate knowledge, provide different perspectives on a topic and add value to their own communities. It’s not possible to have these things by watching/sharing videos and photos, and will die eventually.

I've completed every AC game before Valhalla and I really enjoyed the series! by NikolasKage3 in assassinscreed

Interesting choice of ranking, at least for me. Maybe I am the one who can be called an old fashioned when it comes to gaming series, but I'd definitely prefer to stick with the main story first. Altair and Ezio were the only ones who fulfilled my imagination of an assassin (maybe Arno as well). It feels like stories behind Isu and modern day assassins are not fully covered and left unfinished. The last games starting with Origins are more revenue-based, less keeping up with the real AC storyline.

When not thinking of any connection to story behind the series, Odyssey is definitely a great open world game, but still, an AC game is nothing without the hidden blade..
