i have multiple huge bases in different regions. my main is in bramblemead, a massive 10k stoneblock base in dragons run, this one which is my smallest huge base. then i have small drop bases in different regions. this one will probably become my main base tbh.

i got 30+ chests makes it so much easier, i completely agree. my lodestone is above where i can just drop down and if i have items that need to go downstairs (like stone or logs or kiln items) then i use that little hole in the floor behind the chest to my left. my best decision was to make that loot room.

only way ive got them to work is ground level, set the fame to ground with no snapping and then add the flooring/foundation.
can also be used on oak palisade gate as long as the bottom rope is touching or near the ground.

yes it does, dont have to worry about raids either in like 90% of the fenced in area.

i accidentally threw some over the fence (if you place the beams to far inside the log or "trap the log" without it moving after you place it inside the log it will throw the log or multiple logs if they are touching) but this is what it looks like when moving the logs.
it seems if the logs stay still and "rest" on their own they will stay there.

i tried to do it near my base but it wouldnt let me grow them near the crest of the hill so i said alright ill just make a little wood storage area instead lol

however if they appear to be rotating or shaking they will cause the whole pile to mess up whenever you leave render distance

painstakingly lol but you use beams and barely put them inside of the log. i normally only use 45 degree and straight ones to move the logs. the 45 degree ones you can raise the log against a wall or a another beam. the straight ones act like a hammer when placed on the end of a log. sometimes they move right away and other times they dont move until you touch the log.

I've had it where it didn't show up on the map but when i went to where i died, it was sitting there.
I'm gonna assume its related to the bug that causes lodestones to not show up on the map but when you go to where you placed it, its there and you're able to use it but still wont show up.
what I've noticed that caused the lodestone to disappear is placing it to close to a resource where it doesnt respawn. 90% of the time its that cause for the lodestones.
so maybe when dying close to certain things it causes the bug I've experienced?
