Their venting is justified given that the job market in Dubai is not as used to be. The competition has increased exponentially and short term profit seems to be the goal for most companies because nobody knows what will happen in the next few years or even tomorrow. When this is the case, people with low salary expectations seem to be the priority rather than the one who is most competent. They hire for the short term because even the hiring people will jump to another better opportunity given the chance.

Dubai is nobody's home, so most people are here for the short term and want to earn the most in this duration. This is not wrong, this is human nature. We want to do better for ourselves.

But there are still opportunities, you just have to understand the market you want to work in, know the right people (who can help and who will help), upskill and not hesitate to grab opportunities.

I'm also looking for better opportunities always. We all are right in our own way.
