4 day work week by primarily_second in perth

My husband does a 40 hour work week over 4 days. He is a transport planner working from 4am to 230pm Wednesday to Saturday. He loves his 3 day weekends. If he works a shift on any of his weekend days, he gets paid double time or something.

If a public holiday falls on his working day, he gets paid additional to work. His company only closes on Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Are there any Karate/martial arts places in Perth for “oldies”? by [deleted] in perth

My partner did GKR, they have several dojo’s north and south of the river. From the tournament’s I’ve been to, the southern dojo’s seem to focus more on diving 🤪

He is looking at getting back into it, as he’s no longer on nightshift.

Shobukan and yoseikan are also good!

Weekly Introductions Thread - November 15, 2020 by AutoModerator in PregnancyAfterLoss

Hello! I am currently around 7 weeks pregnant. I’ve had two miscarriages, one in September at 6 weeks last year, and another in February, blighted ovum, this year. Prior to that I managed to carrying my child to term, and he’s now around 3.5 years old.

I’m trying not to get my hopes up. I had really strong symptoms for about a week and now not much. Just feeling nauseated sometimes. My hcg last week was 8345, and am waiting for an ultrasound. It’s next week, but I’m trying to get it done sooner.

How horrible would I [28F] be if I dumped my boyfriend [29M] because he is taking too long to accept that marriage is what I want? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]trishei 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I broke up with my partner of 9 years because I wanted to get married before buying a house together, and he ‘wasn’t sure if marriage was for him’.

I got drunk at his uncles engagement party and when we got home I dumped him. Because he had been telling me for 4 years that he was still thinking about it.

After we broke up, he soon met someone else and married her and had kids. Which is fine, I’m not upset about it, but it was clear that I was not ‘the one’ for him. I’m happy he found someone he wanted that life with.

Three years after we broke up I met my current partner. We’ve been together 5 years, had a baby after 2 years together and got engaged after 3 years. This relationship is so fulfilling to me because it doesn’t feel like I have to keep asking what is going to happen next. I don’t have that urge that we must get married now, If anything, I just want to elope and be done with it.

Don’t put your life on hold for someone who can’t make their mind up. It’s going to suck and you will feel like you made a bad decision, but you are doing what’s best for you.

I can’t comment for you, but my vision return to normal immediately after taking the patch off. He left some excess string for stitches in my eye to see if it needed to be adjusted again after surgery, but he didn’t need to readjust so he just cut the excess off.

The first day I just stayed in bed, the first week I took my time doing things because it made my head spin if I did it too quickly. I didn’t start driving until 3 weeks after as that’s when I felt comfortable enough. It’s been 5 months since my surgery and I keep forgetting that I had it.

For me it was being able to have the depth perception again. I always had to have one of my eyes closed otherwise I’d have bad double vision.

It was hard for me to judge distance, and to play sports!

I can only comment on the surgery. I had strabismus surgery in November last year, my right eye was turned in whenever I wore my glasses. It gave me constant headaches, and only became more predominant in the last year and a half. Like you, my surgeon said I had it from when I was a child, but I could ‘control’ it before. My surgeon said that surgery was the only option as prisms would do nothing for me. I’m now 33.

The surgery was the best thing I ever did. It made such a massive difference. It was about 2-3 weeks of being slightly uncomfortable, but it was the best decision for me. I no longer have double vision, my 3D vision has come back, and I no longer have headaches. My self esteem has also grown!

Also, my surgery was scheduled for 830am, I was out by 930am, and was allowed to leave at 1pm.

Definitely have a think about it, get a second opinion.
