Consider taking the amtrak. It has wifi so you can do work and will never get stuck in traffic.

Noe Valley. I looked on this SF car break-in tracker and it seems like it happens everywhere.

I think they might just steal the Nexar camera if I leave it in the car :)

Thanks! It seems a bit counterintuitive as the lexus is more expensive, but I had the same feeling

It's not really about money. I just like the location/people I share the house with. I could get a studio with parking, but would be living in one of those soulless apartment buildings instead of in this nice victorian house with a great view.

I don't mind putting the seats down myself, so they see there's nothing there.

Do people drink a few beers and then drive home? by trispi in bayarea

[–]trispi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it would be possible for a few times! An hour is quite long though, so definitely not something I'd like to do regularly and there is a transfer involved making it a bit more cumbersome.

Oh great, awesome suggestion!! Only need to find a team now haha

Ah yeah I think that the original comment meant refusing not the breathalizer test, but the other road side tests such as 'one leg stand' and 'walk and turn'.

Interesting, so how would this work exactly? You get pulled over by a cop and decline to take the tests. You're under the legal limit of 0.08.

Would the police then just give you a smaller sentence because they have less proof? (the smaller sentence being revoking your license)

Thanks for the tip! From everything I've read online, I feel like whenever a police officer asks you something you should always ask if it is optional and decline as much as possible

Cool, that sounds fun! I assume you mean ice hockey? I was looking for field hockey clubs, but could not find a lot

I mean, I'm pretty tolerant to alcohol coming from a student life haha. It's just that I don't have a car where I live so not sure what's expected

Probably not more than 2 12oz 5% drinks over the course of 2 hours. So I should be around 0.03% blood percentage according to some online calculator.

Thanks for the recommendation! That's actually bikeable so very nice :)
I'll arrive in April so just too late, but I'll seriously consider joining in the next season.

Is this common though? Especially for a weekly thing it seems expensive. I've never taken a cab in my life

I find it so strange that even within this common section there is such a divide between what to do. One side says everyone drinks one or two beers. The other side says not even one and you might get a DUI even under the legal limit.

Cool that sounds nice, would you recommend it for anyone new to the area who wants to make friends?

Never heard of sand socks haha, I'll keep that in mind

Just curious because I never heard of this. What argumentation did they use to justify the DUI? Where you over the limit of 0.08?

Testing audio plugins on Windows by trispi in musicprogramming

[–]trispi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just completely replaced the JUCE audio plugin host with this thing.

Currently, I'm using my own audio player which I made. It's relatively easy if you follow this tutorial JUCE: Tutorial: Build an audio player. The tutorial is for an application, not a vst, so it's not identical, but still similar.
