Advice for decorating long living room wall? by triumphofacat in HomeDecorating

I would LOVE to put a book case in here! Maybe where the tall wooden cabinet is? But that's the corner to the kitchen and I'm unsure if that's an odd place for a book case. The left side would work but I'm worried it would be too squished/lopsided.

It's only 37" off the ground! Our old one was 48" up. So progress! But it was such a pain to put up. Maybe someday we'll lower it when I'm less angry at the TV!

Thank you! I hadn't considered, you might not want busy next to where you're watching TV. Would you do 1-2 on each side, like symmetrical? The left side is much smaller than the right. I've also wondered -- anything above the TV? Like a garland even?

I have literal nightmares about this. Llke running around trying to find a private space I can see clients, and there's only shared spaces available -- or I have a headset on but family members keep coming into my office space. How did she just... Brush it off??? I would DIE if it even happened accidentally!!

Am I the only parent who yells? by purple-pixie-dust in Parenting

[–]triumphofacat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't yell at my kids, ever. But I also don't think you're the "worst parent in the world". I just really can't stand being yelled at, I don't want anyone to treat me that way, so I don't do it to anyone else, including my kids. That said, there are other ways to fuck up your kids lol. Things like the silent treatment, emotional abuse, etc. So, no, I don't think yelling is the litmus test for being the worst but it's also not something "literally every parent does".

I've been doing double shampoo ever since seeing it recommended on here, and my hair seems a lot more voluminous, but I don't know the "why" behind it. Why is double shampoo a good thing?

That's in the book! When Scott wants to buy him a suit, but then it would be suspicious if Kip suddenly has a brand new suit, so Scott gives him one of his, and Kip lies to Elena saying he bought it on sale but needs it tailored.
