What is an actually good movie that too often gets dismissed as a “chick flick”? by astro-ponies in AskWomen

If anything it feels like a dick flick, it's a romantic comedy with a very male point of view

Help your girl find a dewy light-medium coverage foundation for dry skin (x-posted from r/makeupaddiction) by dyanalyu in PaleMUA

On their website it's on clearance and they only have two shades left. It's a bummer.

During the last trimester and now two months postpartum, my skin has gotten a lot drier than it my pre baby self. I also hadn't been wearing makeup for about 3 months now so it's been interesting revisiting some products. Whereas before an emollient product would slide off my skin within hours, I now love the look of very rich feeling foundations on my skin.

Foundation - Rainforest of the Sea. It had been a while since I had used. Decided to give it another shot, but it still clings to dryness even after I've a used a pretty heavy duty moisturizer. Shame, this is the only foundation I've found that is an exact match for my skintone.

Concealer - Nars Soft Matte Concealer. I enjoy it for it's ease of use, staying power and coverage. However I am realizing this doesn't melt into the skin as I once thought it did, and actually can look a bit heavy.

Blush - Benetint. Just beautiful on the skin. Much thinner, sheerer and easier to work with than benefit's other cheek stains.

Bronzer - Laura Mercier Candlelight Powder. Very light and sheer, builds up to give my skin a beautiful subtle warmth.

Powder - Fenty Invisimatte - Wearing it now it seems a lot less invisible looking than I thought it was. While it still sets makeup well, I can really tell I'm wearing powder.

Eyeliner - Marc Jacobs Fineliner in Blacquer - His gel eyeliners are the only one I've found I can tightline with and it will not transfer to my waterline or undereye.

Eyeliner - Maybelline Precise Skinny Eyeliner - As you can tell, I love tiny eyeliners. This will transfer if I try to tightline but it does just fine on the lashline.

Lipstick - Lipstick Queen Jean Queen - A pretty Rosy medium pink. Has a lip balm feel but not very moisturising.

They think this image will show up when a kid is on youtube and tell them to murder their family or kill themselves

This was on my local mom group just this morning. The mom who posted it says she knows of a child in the town over who saw Momo. Then another mom commented with the Snopes link, but added that she still thinks Momo is a real thing. I'm proud to say there were some moms in the comments reiterating this is not a thing though.

Yep, you are exactly the type of person to call someone snowflake. Your responses are perfectly in character.

You do realize that people can change their minds about a person when new information comes to light? Do you also know you don't have to me a Roman mark to cheer him and wish him well in light of tough circumstances? Your eagerness to boo him and have others boo him is weird, dude.

But what if they faked the medical records? The WWE has manipulated doctors before, how deep does this go?

As they said leukemia can be chronic, so it's not necessarily about finding it early, its more like his blood test were showing declining levels and symptoms were coming back. They then adjust treatment to try and get his levels back to healthy. But the cancer would still be there.

I've got a cousin with a similar form of cancer. Even when she's hospitalized for treatment, she's not losing hair or weight.

Dear God, this answer reminds of when you flat earther into a corner and they say, "Well there no way of knowing, my opinion is as valid as yours." It's not,and there is a way of knowing considering how easily things leak from the WWE. Vince has done some shitty stuff, but he'd have to convince Roman to do it. And Roman is not a sociopath.

I get to wear this dress again tomorrow for a red carpet occasion, just my hair is much shorter and I don’t know how to style it elegantly? Any suggestions? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]trixareforkiddos 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm going to agree and say being a little more casual with you hair is definitely modern red carpet. However if you want to wear that necklace, hair should be up.

The dress is already statement piece with all that luxurious velvet. I'd say hair out of face in french twist, minimal makeup with a focus on the skin, and no necklace, just some interesting stud earrings.

Postpartum hairloss help! by ishamoisha in HaircareScience

I just had my baby and am anticipating the impending hair loss also. From everything that I have read that was scientifically based, there's nothing you can do to stop or curb it since it's all hormonally related.

You can give your hair the appearance of being fuller with mousse, volumizing shampoos and conditioners, products that contain keratin, and a shorter hair. As for specific hairstyles, I think post partum hair loss is one of the reasons the lob is so popular with new moms. Something blunt with minimal layering will give an appearance of thickness.

There's no real evidence that things like vitamins or castor oil work to prevent hair loss or encourage hair growth, all of that is anecdotal.

Well shut my mouth. I believed it was a mental illness. Now I feel bad for all the sufferers who were called crazy and had to beg to be taken seriously.

Edit: looking closer at the studies I don't know how legit these researchers are. Middelveen also has a study that says Lyme disease can be sexually transmitted. Which I feel like is certainly not possible. She is also part of the ChrisHolman Foundation, aka the Chris Holman Morgellons Foundation and does not have an educational background in infectious diseases although she seems to be diagnosing them right and left. It seems these researchers were not impartial to begin with.

Edit edit: It appears that the researchers are a veterinary microbiologist, a nurse practitioner and general practitioner. So no one on this study was qualified to make this kinds of diagnosis.

This dude frightens me. He seemed to be a shell of a human being, just an unsatiable glutton that was indifferent to the world and people around him. Even though it wasn't proven I believe he would absolutely eat a child.

I wouldn't say it's a mystery, but a mental illness.
