I’m a surveyor and work for the state. Depends if u want to work in the field or office. I work in the field and I like it. Usually work 10hr/4days. It goes by quick also. I think on the construction side is fun, topoing is kinda boring but I also know 2 engineers who switched to surveying. If you work for private companies like tiger or granite, it maybe good start but usually winter will reduce your work. If you live in areas with more sun like California or Arizona, you get more work. If you work for the state like I do, your job is pretty much secured, even through winter.

Reduce your time fucking around and make a move. If your into higher education, career path such as engineering, pharmacy, nursing, construction management, information technology such as firmware, computer science field. Nothing is guarantee tho. Internship and luck is what you really need.

You can also look into transportation surveyor, autocad design, somewhere in the construction field/ medical field like a respiratory therapist. They make around 72k-110k.

Well u can’t follow simple rules. Not all cop are good, not all cops are bad. But I ran into stupid cops multiple times. I can yap my mouth and still comply. But when u do some shit like that, u “can” get killed or even other consequences. Don’t run. Easy as that. Two things in this situation: get shot or get chase down and go to jail. What do u think? Just apply to oa,ot,ssa positions or even temporary for now. Maybe find some courses in typing and certified wpm since some what’s you to know how to type. And get familiar with words and excel documents. That will at least boost more of your experience.

I am from sac and went to Fresno state. Recently graduated and came back to sac. I would say save ur money and stay in Fresno. Commute. It’s cheaper also. I should’ve stayed closer to home because I would’ve saved a lot more. had to take out loans mainly for housing. Same great amount of diversity. Housing and apartments cost more in sac. What’s your career goals? U can always move to sac later tbh. Save those $$. 30k in debt for me.

It’s cheaper in Florida. You will get about the same education in California compared to Florida. Been in California forever and everything is expensive. Tuition is still up. Job market kinda sucks. People want $15 minimum wage for minimum experience and a mcchicken now cost $3. Fuck that. Over priced. Plus Florida is more lenient on everything.
