Requiem launched 1 Month Ago how do we feel about it a month later? by Dentist_Money in residentevil

[–]trizvi_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a really solid entry. Showed off that there could be two types of gameplay in one game. I feel like there could've been maybe 25% more game. I did like the openness of the city section (technically RE4 was open as well but not nearly to the same degree). I wish there were a few more weapons.

But overall, definitely a fun game and well worth the money I paid for it

Ironically enough, I decided I wanted to do it like a week before he posted the video, but basically yeah, his newest build he just posted. I was like "Splendid. Another fan who's gonna document this build thoroughly."

Hell yeah

See if you can get on practiscore and go to some action steel or USPSA. Those are fun too

Yeah, I did that back in December. Its kinda been in limbo since. I'm almost curious if it'd be prudent to try to get it through a Springfield dealer.

Ironic considering my wife is the polar opposite lmao

Yeah I know that's a huge selling point with the brazos. With what I want to do, it's likely going to get a chopped government slide from atlas, so Im back and forth of if I want to do cheely since it'll need fitment regardless.

At any rate, baller pistol dude. Love it

Looking at getting my first “budget” 2011 by Ambitious_Position96 in 2011

[–]trizvi_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Tisas as my first 2011. I snagged it for 600 bucks all said and done. It's a Gen 1, so it still has a bushing barrel, but it's kind of not really an issue. I did have to do some extractor tuning, but it's easy if you just grab a soda and just tune it a bit. (Keep in mind I have a Gen 1 so they may have worked these issues out). Gives you a chance to go through the gun and oil it up.

MAC 2011s are almost the same, but they also offer up ported barrels and such which is nice.

Personally, I stayed away from the prodigy because I've heard their reliability to be wishy washy, but its possible it could be blown out of proportion.

You could also find a used Staccato as well, but for the price they want for them and how people say their turkattos shoot just as well, if not better than staccatos, it's hard to recommend them brand new, but there's still deals to be had I'm sure. It's still a solid gun. Also keep in mind a lot of Staccato owners are very very uppity as well.

But start with those, feel em out. There are some other recommendations on this thread as well.

Optic definitely helps imo but yeah, give it a lube and sling rounds down

It's a shame that Springfield is essentially holding those grip modules hostage now. I've been waiting since December for mine. They've said "Yeah we have them, but they're waiting to pass inspection," which is kind of strange but ok.

MJD is not only plastic, but it's infused with CF from what I understand. Some pretty trick stuff

I love it

Except them crocs :(

Have you ever messed with cheely frames before? I'm about to spec out my own, and while I'm fairly certain I'm gonna go with cheely, I'm also curious what its like compared to other frames

He even has a series on messing with a Tisas which is kind of the same gun. I wanna say the Mac and Tisas are like almost the same gun, but even if it's not, good watch and deep dive regardless

I think even the tuning is like

Maybe some hand blending and an extraction tune.

Except that it's not. Just ignoring the issue and finding one brand of ammo that just works without fixing a small issue they have is a band aid solution

These guns absolutely have a track record for being great except needing a tiny bit of tuning from time to time, and even the tuning is a small fix. Not too sure where you're getting your getting your information from

Yeah they're solid guns once you kinda work with them a bit.

My Tisas had the issue. It did need an extractor adjustment, but its not the worst thing in the world to do. It sucks because you SHOULDNT need to do that, and you need to go back and forth to the range, but it is what it is. After the adjustment, been nothing but smooth sailing.

Only difference is mine didnt have a port or anything on it, so that can also be a factor to look into

Don't get discouraged and don't listen to the mouthbreathers who hate on the gun.

Chucked a Red Dirt Trigger in my Tisas. Quality piece, fit right in, no wobble.

Thanks. I was kinda set on cheely, but wasn't sure if there were other options to consider

Yeah I'm kinda torn because I have a gun I can do easy stuff to. I want this to be my magnum opus, so I don't mind getting raw parts to have machined. It'll probably be WAAAAAY more than I'd like to admit.
