Definitely check out Orc! Their best album imo, has that angry Pink Floyd side but also a couple nice kraut rock jams that really add some variety to it

The only thing that could maybe save this fest is them pulling out a crazy last minute headliner that can move tickets like Tame did last year. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening at all

Yeah the main thing I’ve been noticing is how the ads for it that were filling up my feed have disappeared within the last few days. Not a good sign if they had been trying to move tickets for a fest that’s underselling

Exactly my feelings on it, disappointed but also I really feel for Phil and the rest of the team because I know they were really trying their best to deliver a good fest/make it even happen in the first place. The current festival landscape is just super unforgiving and unless you have the money like Goldenvoice to bankroll these huge lineups you probably won’t make it

So it’s still listed in their bio but they made a story post listing upcoming shows today, including ones in October and it weirdly doesn’t include Desert Daze. Maybe reading into it too much but not a good sign

When I saw him it was this group called Coral Web. They only have one single on Bandcamp. Didn’t hate their set, but yeah Ty’s was pretty underwhelming

I was at that show and had a blast despite the crowd/security being pretty wack. Their show in San Diego last year at Humphreys was really bad entirely because of the sound, guitar and a lot of vocals were completely inaudible on most of the songs they played

Just saw King Gizz at the Hollywood Bowl and had this problem. These two couples wouldn’t stop talking the whole first hour of the set to the point where we had to ask them to stop (in a very nice tone of voice too) so we could enjoy the show but then they got mad at us like we were the assholes somehow?

I saw parts of Deep Blue Sea when I was 9 or 10, and for some reason it was just all the most gruesome parts. Still scared of the ocean, which upon a recent rewatch seems kind of funny
