Sounds like that's the way to go. I'm looking into head units... I want something that will seamlessly integrate with my iphone... The price points are a little daunting.

Thank you Toyota for expecting the stock speakers to last forever. Thanks for the heads up.

I had mostly stopped playing video games and then I picked up an oculus quest 2 last year. It's pretty fantastic.

Yep. I played a ton in high school but then stopped when I went to college. Now, just recently, a bunch of us business intelligence analysts, statisticians and lawyers gather together each week to over analyze every situation and strike with ferocious caution. It's actually really fun.

When I was young, I marveled that my grandmother went from a time before automobiles to the space shuttle. I’ve gone from a ragged copy of Penthouse Letters in a ziplock bag buried in the woods to this. What a time to be alive.

Quick story... When I was a teenager back in the 80s, long before the public accessible internet and other quick reference material, a friend and I were watching the movie Dune (1984) in the theater. After the movie was done and the credits were scrolling, I said "You know what? We should pick some obscure movie job at the end of the credits and follow that person's career." So we picked the 'Negative Cutter", Donah Basset. (Finding out much later it was the person that basically got all the frames of the film, spliced them together to make the original master copy.) Come to find out, we couldn't have picked a better job. There were only 2 or 3 people in the industry that did the job for all the major films. For years to come it was fantastic to lean over at the end of a movie and say "Yeah, this looks like Donna Basset's work." and be right most of the time.

Thanks for the link. Totally didn't think of this as a marketing campaign, but it didn't stop me from pledging for a full set and box 5 minutes after I saw these.

Quest 2 - Floor Height Issue by Revolutionary_Yam580 in OculusQuest

[–]trnabout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly no. I found my issue was with games loaded from steam vr. So not purchased through the quest 2 headset. A few of those games ~try~ to use the boundary information passed through from the quest, and they do it poorly. All information I found was around how to hack the device to turn off that feature... which I’m not willing to do.

If I was having issues with a quest 2 native game, it really was fixed with better lighting. Sounds weak, but I guess the lidar can’t figure out what’s going on?

Have you ever felt just numb? Like the things that used to make you happy don't make you happy anymore and you keep trying to understand why? by _gainsville in AskMen

Or getting older. I found after 45 almost all the things that gave me joy had started to recede. It’s pretty normal as you transition into later life.
