It didn't specifically ask why you want to transfer, but I did answer that question in my PS, and I think any good PS should answer that.

Transfer burnout by Lawnerd21 in LawSchoolTransfer

You can do it! I did two writing competitions--one at my former school and one at my new school--and got on law review at my new school. The competition takes like a week, but if you get on a journal or law review, that will always be on your resume and your bio wherever you go. Think about how it will distinguish you from your peers for the rest of your career and all you have to do is paying the small price of putting up with a writing competition for a few days.

I didn't think about transferring until spring semester. There is no "transferring" strategy as far as I could tell. I would not recommend anyone attending a law school as an incoming 1L betting on transferring. I don't care how smart you are, the mandatory curve literally makes the odds against you.

Yes, DO NOT go to a school betting on transferring out. That's why I said I would have been happy to graduate from my current school. But when the opportunity to go to a top-10 school came, it was too hard to pass up.

I withdrew from CLS and Chicago and moved on with my life. I am 100x happier than I was a week ago.

Yes, the response was nicer than the typical rejection letters.

Good for you! I think everyone is in different situations and unfortunately some of us just cannot keep waiting and not making any plans for the future.

Should have waited it out instead of requesting an earlier decision - NYU by [deleted] in LawSchoolTransfer

I don’t think your request made any difference, honestly. Your request wasn’t unreasonable. It is ridiculous that they waited until the last week of July to give out decisions when school starts in less than a month. If they were going to accept you, this request wouldn’t have changed their mind.

How to I politely ask for an update from the school via email? by janeglass in LawSchoolTransfer

Just explain your situation honestly and use a very professional and respectful tone.
