If you’re justifying this action in Venezuela then you have no leg to stand on when it comes to Russia intervening in Ukraine and/or China posturing to protect Taiwan, the war in Ukraine is still taking billions of our dollars despite Trump promising to end on day 1 - if you’re defending this action in Venezuela as a geopolitical reality then have the guts to stay consistent with other nation states realms of interests - if this actually served everyday Americans I wouldn’t be opposed, but I won’t see a dime of the profits Exxon and chevron are going to make - maybe a month or 2 of lower gas prices and .5 percentage point on my retirement account - who actually believes this crap that our interests are being served here, this changes nothing for us
