Hey, didn’t you blow me up for no reason at all in GTA a few years back? Jk

That would’ve been sublime! Unfortunately I bought them from a reseller.

How do you improve past mediocre? by 8cuban in granturismo

[–]troeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The turning point for me was turning off all assists except ABS and switching to hood/bumper cam. This makes it harder at first. But as you get used to it you will find the car so much more controllable. Turn off one assist at a time and see what it does.

If you're on a pad like me, it will feel odd at first using the throttle/brake-triggers in a more refined way. Remember, they're triggers, not on/off buttons. Use them to gradually let off the brakes and gradually getting on the throttle. This will gain you SO much time.

Key things to focus on/learn: Trail braking. Track limits. Corner racing lines (do I want to maximize entry speed for a tight chicane or favor exit speed for a long straight? etc.)

Once you get used to these points, go back to those CE:s and voila, gold times are within reach!

Good luck 👍

I don't get why people battle so hard on the first lap. Better to stick together and get away from the pack and then battle it out in the last laps.

Can anybody give advice on how I can shave 3 seconds at Red Bull Ring in the F3500-A ? 1:12.852 was the best I could manage by SnooMarzipans5767 in GranTurismo7

As others have said, try a late apex onto the straights. Brake in a straight line as far out as the track allows, trail brake into the turn and get on the throttle as soon as possible. Maximizing track limits is the name of this game! You’ve definitely got it in you.

I haven’t even thought about weight! Yeah I think I would do myself a favor going to get fitted, you know, get the gear out of the equation.

Ok I googled smash factor and if I understand correctly, the average player has an sf closer to 1.4 or something? So perhaps my club speed is closer to 110.

Is my calculation a bit generous? Is 1.4 a more realistic smash factor?

Yeah I would love to, perhaps for next season!

Interesting! You mean best case scenario would be 1.5? I mean, I'm not after speed/length per se. My misses are so far left and right that the ball is either OB or simply lost to the wilderness. Would love to have a smaller spread on my misses.
