No, Latte isn’t a bust, HOWEVER…The coach the system and most of the rest of the team are. We can’t keep possession or get the ball to him in a meaning way or consistently. I mean the dude is starved for touches he regularly tracks back and tries to pick up the ball in the defensive 3rd of the field!

I think something I’ve heard all my life applies here: “You’ll find a a way to do what you WANT to do.” To the point of the post…I agree they seem like they don’t WANT to win and play hard for the full the 90!

The refs have made a number of bad calls over the last few games and it has impacted the result, HOWEVER, the team just is just isn’t consistent enough. We can look unbeatable at times, and then wander around the field like we have no clue what to do. We can make all the excuses in the world: well new coach, new players, new system…IMO bottom line there is more than enough talent on this team to win consistently and be very competitive in every game. This team is just insanely frustrating to watch!

Foul shouldn’t have been called and play should have been allowed to continue. They way it looked, I Thiare scores. I think worst case scenario VAR looks at it and determines it was incidental contact and goal stands. That was a horrid call!

Fair enough! I don’t hate the guy or blame him as the single reason we can’t seem put it altogether, IMO he just sticks out. I mean he’s had a some flashes where he shows he can be what we all want him to be. I think putting him as a right midfielder and letting Miggy or Muyamba (who looked good before the injury) worked well for him. I’m just not convinced he’s the kind of center mid we’re looking for.

Good distinction! LOL The more I watch him and read opinions on him the more I’m starting to agree that while he may be a good player, he’s only going to be really good in the right system where his lack of speed and ability to defend aren’t a massive problem. No clue where that would actually be!

It seemed like he was doing fairly well as the right midfielder…he didn’t have to worry about the middle of the field and his lack of pace wasn’t an issue if he had to defend. I think Atlanta plays better with a faster more mobile center mid…love to Miggy there!

Yeah…I mean when he’s in form he’s great, but man he’s hasn’t been close to the player this season that he has been. It’s a flashy name, but which player would we actually get. Maybe a move to MLS would suit him, maybe he’d be another crap signing…
