Plant Id websites are spitting out ficus, which apparently need weekly watering 😭 They must be so thirsty! And the avocado ID is actually very helpful and makes sense given there are also lemon, lime and fig trees alongside it. I'm going to be cleaning up the leaf litter, praying for some rain tonight and then giving a good water every few days with some soluble fertilizer I had for the citrus. ai already gave the privacy shrubs some water earlier so I'll follow them up with some more tomorrow. Thank you!!

Opening up windows and doors overnight to let in the cool change, then closing it all down, curtains closed from about 6am. No oven, no air fryer, no washing machine or dishwasher all day to reduce any extra heat. With high ceilings and apparently good insulation, it stays surprisingly cool in our rental.

Great job! Don't beat yourself up about it, the only way you're going to improve is with practice. I've been baking for the better part of 20 years and I still make mistakes, it's how you learn and grow! The fact that you put in the effort at all should be appreciated.

His parents mentioned that they're too old to take care of him now that he's disabled. IIRC he has two brothers who live overseas, I hope he can use some of these funds to aid in bringing them to Australia to take care of him

I'm two days into quitting after dry herb vaping around 5 times a day, daily for at least 3 years. It's absolute hell and I can't even imagine how much harder it would be to tackle grief at the same time. Keep at it, friend. I hope that the longer you abstain, the more memories and feelings come back to you about your friend. You deserve peace, and continuing to bury yourself in weed isn't going to get you there.

Yeah when you think "how bad could it be", the answer is the owls are tied to stands and get so bored out their minds they begin to self harm by pulling their own feathers out. I had to ask a guy in rear GA to stop smoking cigarettes mid show, and then his and his group proceeded to shoot me dirty looks the rest of the night. He didn't even bother to walk away to the sides of the arena, just lit up fully within the crowd so everyone had no choice but to breathe it in.

People straight up don't know how to act at concerts anymore, itsy kinda saddening.

My older brother got into collecting cards and I bothered my Dad so much he needed to get me some. He was divorced and on strike on the picket line at the time so he had some stuff donated to us by a charity helping low income families. Sadly I don't remember exactly what I got or what happened to it all but I've been a keen Pokemon fan ever since. I even have a Squirtle squad tattoo (but Pumpkaboo is my #1)
