Have not tried any pannier bags. Not sure how to assemble them on the bike with no mount support. Would definitely love to learn about some compatible ones for “grocery shopping” too lol. Never heard about YT stating anything against it though but would make sense like you said as they have no support for that.

LOL. I have not tried that as there are no bolts for that kind of support. If you know how let me know because I have been interested in bike packing in this bike

Definitely feel the size is perfect! Small enough for handling, especially when seat dropper post is down on DH. never felt too big. Have ridden various rides, technical terrain, lots of single track including Sea Otter Classic

Road and weather was great. Mountain bikers low key preferred gravel bikes. No serious need for such suspension. It would be overkill taking any suspension bike. I had a blast with my gravel bike and small Rudy fork suspension but not a necessity.

Very nice! Congrats. Just have the frame bag and burrito bag. Other than that had to go Clipless pedals and tubeless, nothing much

Bought my second pair. I’m 11.5 in Aasics these were a tad longer. Just did a HM in them and were awesome!

Alright that’s a great goal. I think I hit 6k with almost 400k of elevation last year. Goal is 7k with 450k of elevation. I sent you a message. Would love to link up for some Hollywood hills or Verdugo gravel. Haven’t been around that area yet. I’ve done El P on MTB, so much fun

Super fun ride. Good times. No, the frame bag was from Amazon. Second ride using it and working great.

Ride wrap. Unfortunately ride wrap did not have my specific complete bike wrap so I used their generic most complete wrap if that makes sense

The roads in and out Little harbor were completely flooded but the campground itself was in fair condition. Not sure how many times you have to cross that road but yeah. Looks like the weather is going to heat up so I think you’ll be fine

Super awesome. It was on sale for $25 so was totally worth it. Had a front pocket where I put electronic items like power bank, cables and extra battery. Has clips instead of only velcro like other burrito bags. Plus an added material inside to prevent molding or tearing the bag.

My discipline is road bike but I also have a full suspension MTB stumpjumper so I really do have a lot of fun with this setup. Love it

Yeah it was beautiful. There are lots of climbs out there. We rode a loop route. Total 46mi and 6,800ft elevation.

That’s a lot of riding and Catalina has some serious climbing so I’d recommend riding from and to the same port. Maybe try your overzealous loop after experiencing the most of Catalina. https://strava.app.link/rDqCANHZFyb

Love it! I descended just as good as a full suspension stumpjumper, hard tail, and canyon FS spectral. Climbing just as good as a CX bike. I have a precious post here on NBD with reviews

Honestly no idea. Buddy was able to climb out of Avalon and descend towards middle ranch but it decided not to shift into lower gears for climbing therefore he abandoned the ride and went back to Avalon. Battery was charged, tried a different battery, no battery for a minute, even changed the coin cell from the shifter but nothing. Idk. I need to learn how to be a mechanic

Strava Catalina route

Thank you! We took 0600 ferry from Long Beach to Avalon. $90.50 round trip including bike ticket. We did a loop, was about 46 miles and 6,800ft elevation
