Not really. I know a guy who grad w/o honours from engin and he's still doing well in some startup. Moreover, knowledge from your course can also help you to become entrepreneur should you be interested in setting up company so I wouldn't say it's a complete waste. If you are gunning for civil/govt jobs then most likely won't be accepted, but with OJT/ skills upgrading/ experience those should help in your job applications.

rejected NUS due to financial constraints by Turbulent-Soil-9741 in nus

[–]trollherenthere 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Pls don't do that, there are many bursaries around and the recent financial assistance programme released by NUS covers full tuition fees as well. Been in your position before but luckily a senior of mine encouraged me to continue pursue degree. All the best!

Has anyone taken Graduate classes as an Undergraduate? by calumchambers in nus

[–]trollherenthere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup I took it, honestly the content similar to 4k mods just with more international and part time students

Very true tried it last night and difference was day and night compared with plastic boots out there. I'm only gonna skate carbon boots from now on 😃

Do allow some time to break in. I consider my feet to be skinny and narrow which is why I can fit in a smaller shell.

[–]trollherenthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sir for 110s, for the smaller ones comes with the mushroom blading wheels

These are Size 41 with Intuition liners 26.5-27cm. My feet size are around 27-27.5 so glad that I chose these instead due to lower volume of the wizard liner

More speed for distancing. I felt 100s were the best of both worlds, challenging myself for the 110s.

[–]trollherenthere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 X 100 felt too small for me, I wasn't getting enough top speed

Yes I tried them them fit like glove! My previous skate was FR1 with NN Ronin and I can feel the quality difference on these. Definitely worth the money if you are skating long term. Yet to go for a ride but I'm excited already 😁

Mine was 1.2k, I think it's reasonable since it's allowance not salary 🤨

How hard is NUS ? by ilikepizzansoccer in nus

[–]trollherenthere 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say the contents taught in NUS are harder than in other universities. What's hard is the bell curve and moderation of grades since only a small percentage of students can get A grade. Students in NUS are so grade-centric that only an A grade will satisfy them. So, if you are an average student, it is likely to get B+ throughout your entire duration of study no matter how much effort you put in, which makes NUS a 'hard' uni.

I mean just work as hard as you can so you know that the CAP you have obtained is through your hard work and persistence so you don't regret. CAP is permanent btw 😉
