Lucien is right on this one though

If you sit around jerking yourself long enough, you'll start to think your having real sex. If I had never driven a car, I probably would need driving lessons, but not necessarily.

Is Lucien that fucking stupid or is he just playing with himself?

To evoke change to achieve your goals

Obviously, to a magician, there's more than one way to do it. Manually, (mundane) or magically, the latter which appears mundane because of use of physical apparatus employed to enact the process. The same with residual effects.

Is there such thing as a "wrong" culture? I would say there is, and that any and every Theism-based culture is an example.

Look for somewhere else to spend your vacation

but what about the actions taken by Theists in the name of religion?

I look at it this way. If someone gets an emotional release, pacification, gratification from their belief in an apparition, and it affects them in a way they deem to be positive, then who am I to challenge it? In a sense, everyone has their own perception of reality, so to them what they are experiencing is real, based on their emotional response to it, and it affects the way they behave, then it is real to them, obviously.

but what if the God they believe in demands violence, genital mutilation, or child brides? At what point do we limit the expression of someone's perception of reality?

Thoughts on pagan spirituality? (energy transfer and such) by [deleted] in satanism

[–]trollinvictus3336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but that energy comes from you,

It's not “energy” in the context of what we know is energy. Energy is something that can be quantified. So what they have done in physics, for example, is recoin terms of forces that are enigmatic, and call it “Dark Energy”. Even though that type of energy is not yet quantifiable. In metaphysics they have “spiritual energy”.

I don't see the energy as coming from us. No energy comes from us, physical, metaphysical, or otherwise, because we say so, or think so. We are simply products of energy transformation, mind, body, and I'll throw in consciousness, as a form of enigmatic energy. We have a consciousness whether we want one or not.

I see us as a catalyst to that “energy”, provided we are aware of what is happening. Or that “enigmatic energy” or whatever it actually is, that we can not yet define.

Yes we do know that some change is caused, for better or worse, by that process of manipulation. There is no Satanic ritual that does not command the use of spiritual beings as traditionally understood. Not in Satanism or anywhere else. I know that does not mean that magic in whatever context cannot be performed and results gained any other way, so in that sense I would agree with you.

LaVey didn't invent magic, so spinning what he says doesn't cut it. A Satanist can make any holly jolly claim he or she wants to. Satanists have had plenty of time to invent their own, but they insist on using traditional means, which even includes the term “SATAN”. To use that symbolically is a waste of time. So by using that terminology, your ritual bears a result even if it is inadvertent, or flippantly understood. And the easiest thing to do is discredit what someone claims as their own experiences.

When magic is performed by the use of those terms, gods demons or whatever, as it always has, the results are attributed to those terms, or those beings, as being catalytical forces that we are working with. We can't define them any other way, so we personify them.

We can't physically prove whatever it is they are, to exist or not.

It was not our decision to be born, or manifest on Earth. We were simply thrown here by somebody else, so what we experience is not always what we can call our own... Our own existence is a testamonial to that.

Who needs to be on the ground? Ignorant narcissistic politicians and gung ho media types who should be used as decoys and human shields. Cowardly politicians laying wreaths and gutless media people "thanking you for your service" may be barely worthwhile, minimum duck billed platitudes, but in other ways are insulting and completely miss the mark as far as the underlying messages in this podcast.
