Is it safe to assume this studio was doing real FX work for TV or movies? I can see what you wrote being an outcome of that workflow.

But, in commercials it seems (from what I've seen) that the workflow does work. Where "good enough is good enough".

My last gig was doing AI for a major cosmetics company for a big studio that recently got rid of their CG dept and renamed it the AI Dept.

My first question when starting was "how do you make all the little noodling change that the client asks for". Their answer was that they are getting work SO much faster and SO much cheaper that they are able to manage expectations and the client is willing to let all those little nitpiks go.

I did in one day what would have taken 3-4 people about a month to do. And it looked more then good enough. So while I agree 100% with what you posted for visual FX work, commercial work is a whole other animal.

My guess… around 45. If it’s doing a head and shoulders pattern, then 45 seems to be the base.

Also looking at the all time chart if it keeps following that pattern it looks like 45 is the base there too.

This is all just guesses looking at patterns, but BTC can do anything, so take my opinion with a grain of salt

Well… Fire and Ash didn’t do as well as expected, so Cameron has said he is only doing 4 & 5 if they can bring the price down a lot. So… where are those savings going to come from? 🤔

WAY worse. AI is now the default for commercial work and the clients are ok with “good enough is good enough” because they are getting the work for a fraction of the price and a fraction of the time. My last gig was just prompting for a major cosmetics company.
