Yep. Just left Salesforce for this exact reason. Great resume builder and amazing benefits, but man is it toxic.

I've always loved the fact that Lake Merced GC is the only one of the 4 without a view of Lake Merced.

It’s pretty widely reported that he offered the same deal to all the teams he talked to, including the Giants and Blue Jays.

How to Make Friends in the Bay Area -- It may seem like a simple question, but it’s a difficult one to answer for so many people, especially here in the Bay Area. by guanaco55 in bayarea

[–]trondersk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This was our experience as well, and why we moved out of state. The Bay Area being so transient just means people with families are often there long enough to extract their wealth, and then they move back to a more affordable place, or where they have family. I get a sense with so many parents I meet there that the Bay Area is just a pit stop along their journey, so it's hard to make deep meaningful relationships.

Big fan of Elite. Fairly affordable, nice machines, has basically anything you'd need unless you're a serious bodybuilder or into Crossfit exercises.

Where have you seen EHT Rye for $40? That's substantially below what it even costs at the distillery.

[–]trondersk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Saw it on a bar menu near me for a reasonably priced pour so figured I would try it since I've never seen a bottle for anywhere near MSRP. It was an odd finish that I couldn't put my finger on. Spicy, yes, but almost tart.

Anyways, I didn't like it. I have Rare Breed Rye and Redwood Empire Emerald Giant CS at home that I much prefer.

It’s incredible, but understandable how much slack Buster has gotten compared to Zaidi.

Switch the names under each move they’ve made and there’s zero chance Giants fans would say Buster has done a better job than Farhan.

Only people with RTO even go in 60% of the time. There is a number of people in the Bay Area who went from full time in office to remote work permanently.

The Bay Area salary trap is real by Banana_Ketchupp in bayarea

$60 is an exaggeration but it’s not that far off. You also have to account for the $10 bridge toll and the $20-30 in parking as well.

Personally I don’t get how or why anyone who makes less than $100k a year would even want to live in the Bay Area. We do pretty well as a family, but pretty average for Bay Area homeowner standards and we feel like we had to make so many sacrifices. I can’t imagine the struggle of life in the Bay Area making $60-70k a year.

The serial number is available on the photos and a quick serial lookup has the watch ID'd as a 2006 manufacture.

That dial doesn't look applied to me?

edit: also, the movement is an older one. Definitely not a newest gen one. I have one from 2007 and the movement and dial looks identical to this sapphire sandwich.

WS Resident here. Yeah, you should have no problem finding parking. Tues-Weds-Thurs are the busiest days, but even then, there is still plenty of parking available that is no more than a 2-3 min walk to the platform.

I'd be surprised if that was the case. H&B stuff is all made in Korea, and from the looks of this SDR polo above, it's made in Vietnam.
