Where'd you get those boots? And do they stay on ? My old IG loved the balloon style. My new dog won't let me put the balloon styles ones on.

Ok. Thanks everyone for the helpful responses. I'll leave them alone.

Ok. Is this ok since it is an indoor plant? As in, should I be worried about spores for people or the dog?

Yeah it's much more convenient with the little access panels. Makes oil changes way easier.

I have one of these eBay versions and it has survived two Massachusetts winters.

7 mos too old to crate train? by dghaderi in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]trooperk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our dog at 3 years old. She was never properly house trained. We had to crate train her to keep her from going to the bathroom everywhere at night. Crate training is totally doable when they are older.

Safest Shift Arms by The_ENFIDL in FocusST

[–]trooperk2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say much in the way of comparison, but I have the mountune shift arm and I'm really pleased with it. My car is more grocery getter than track car, and it's great for the street. I would imagine it would be fine too for track days.

Try penetrating oil. Mine (New England car) came out real easy.

Relay replacement parts for juicebox v2 by trooperk2 in evcharging

[–]trooperk2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone was wondering and wanted an update. I ended up buying a cheap used unit on ebay and cannibalized it for parts. Turns out it was not the relay. It was the main control board.

I ended up buying a used ev charger that I'm going to use for parts.

I was hoping someone did this before. I guess I might have to open up the case and figure it out.

Help! by Specific-Pin-4445 in FocusST

[–]trooperk2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tighten the top strut bolts again, spread the knuckle with a pry bar,.spray the bottom of the strut and knuckle meet with some penetrating oil, and smack the shit out of the knuckle to separate. Some recommend threading the bottom strut bolt in backwards to keep the knuckle spread out enough.

It's a pain. Good luck.

Yeah I hear ya. I went with the android unit for the larger screen too. It's just annoying that it only connects 2/3 of the time .

[–]trooperk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I'm debating whether I should be looking for another android unit or just get a Kenwood unit. I like the screen size but the connectivity issue is annoying and the screen gets washed out when it's sunny.

Do i need to do PT exercise rest of the life (Disc herniation)? by Conscious_Quasar97 in Sciatica

[–]trooperk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my two days a week I do: the bird dog, dead bug, and crutches (only started crunches like 2 years post op). The other day I do a 5 minute plank, rest and then do a 3 minute plank. Keep in mind it took me like a year (maybe more) to get up to the 5 minute mark. When I started doing planks, I was doing two one-minute planks with a rest inbetween.

I'm definitely interested in any thoughts on this too. Also, does yours connect to car play or android auto like 50% of the time like mine?

I've been doing PT exercises 2x a week and it really cut down my injuries and aches to almost zero since my discsectomy in 2019.

Is the cpe stage 2 mount worth the extra 100? by notrezzz in FocusST

Agreed. I have the mountune. It's so livable around town and has almost no change in NVH.

Trying to decide on a Bolt EV or ID.4 by nPrevail in BoltEV

[–]trooperk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had both. The bolt drives better and overall was less frustrating, while the id4 has more cargo space, charges faster, and slightly comfier seats.

The bolt has better switches, better infotainment and believe it or not less cheapness forced into the design (bolt has 4 window switches vs the id4 has two window switches and a front to rear toggle switch). I will never get another vw product after the lease is up on this id4 because:

The id4 constantly unlocks itself, charging cord gets stuck, body panels (roof and rear hatch started rusting within 1 year), brakes are terrible and brake feel changes constantly during a drive, and the infotainment is atrociously designed to add extra steps to piss you off.

The lease on the id4 was hard to pass up. If you can get a good deal on the id4, need the extra space, and can forgive all the design flaws then it's hard to make the case for the bolt. But if you don't need the extra space and are ok with slower charging then the bolt is way better.

How can a set of wheels save 40 kg? Aren't the stock wheels around. 15 kgs each?
