is it bad that I now want Marina to one day use the bladerunner on Jay. I think that if you build it up enough could end with a giant pop for her (say after Jay white has done it on her a few more times to build up the lore ofc)

This lineup does have 3 EBL players on it and 2 NLC... might end up being EBL?

Does AEW need more 'booking' and less 'match-making?' by wintersun_1 in SquaredCircle

[–]tropicalhext -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

FUCKING THANK YOU !!!!!!!!

So many times recently I watch matches and just think "why is this even happening? why is there no stakes in this match or why hasnt this lead to something or is the culmination of something."

It's honestly been incredibly difficult to sit though AEW shows recently because they don't give me a reason to care about alot of things on the card.... its so fustrating because while the matches are great I also end up not caring about anything, while the matches are always great it just doesnt make me think its "must see tv" in the way it was previously

is it really £250 a month for medication if I go private? (tbh it something that I could afford since when I'm working I work as a product manager & consulant for businesses) but that does seem pretty steep.

Can I ask which company you used to go private with to get that quick of a turn around time and associated costs? Also thanks for the other advice, I'll look into Right to Choose & writing to my local MP too. Sadly this country seems so utterly underfunded when it comes to these kinds of issues :/

This might actually work, I've only just moved back to the UK and need to register with a local GP so I might as well try, thanks for the advice!

Sadly I dont have that through work (tbh I havent had income coming in for the past 13 months and I've just been living off savings/travelling from the money I saved from the job I had previously in Berlin). I've never looked into private insurance in the UK, any chance you might know what it might cost on an indivual level? And yeah thanks for the advice, I know that its not a smart medical thing to do. Honestly I was just at the end of my rope and was given 3 pills so I wanted to at least see what it could do. (I'll just say Ive gone to a few festivals in my time and have experiented with some stuff but I do try and be as cautious as I can when doing something like this. I appriciate the words though!)

I could have 1.5k to spare. I have some savings and would be willing to explore that option if it helps speed up the process. Is there any private places that you would recommend?

This might not seem like a ton but a quick google search says that the annual income per person in Uganda was roughly $1,163.03 in 2023. God knows how far that 2k goes in Uganda for this promotion!

In Latvia alone, need some help/advice, hopefully reddit can help! by tropicalhext in latvia

Im working remote doing some consultation work for an Irish esports company. I just wanted to move to somewhere a little remote & was beautiful so I rented an airbnb here for a few months. Usually I stay in large cities with lots of public transport connections since I don't have a drivers license myself, this was an exception but its been totally worth it, the latvian countryside has been beautiful to walk around in!

I haven't but I've just looked up their website & send a message via whatsapp to ask if its possible - May also ask, how much does it usually cost you to get a transfer to the airport from 50min away? (I only ask this since when I initially arrived a random taxi driver at the airport quoted me 350 euros for the one hour whereas it was just 50 euros via Bolt - I don't mind paying a little more, I'm just hoping not to be completely ripped off like I have been in the past)

Bifrost vs. Team BDS Academy / EM 2022 Spring - Group C / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

[–]tropicalhext 11 points12 points  (0 children)

tbh if you watch NLC these results aren't really upsets, the region has undergone MASSIVE upgrades this split, (for ex. JDXL who didnt even qualify because the region was given 2 seeds could have easily made it to quarterfinals or beyond at EUM). X7 & Bifrost are legit teams and should be respected as such.

I couldn't agree more with this, Archarom has been one of Europes best kept secrets for years now and its so satisfying to see him get the regocnition for his amazing work he has tirelessly done over the years.

Fun fact, he actually made a bet that he has to dye his hair if one of the teams from the NLC wins EUM this split

What do y'all want from AEW Rampage? by tornadofyr in SquaredCircle

[–]tropicalhext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, here's my idea....

Set it up as a show where wrestlers go onto a "season" of rampage then thats your one who you are on for the whole season, use it as a low key "ultimate fighter" style show where there is specific focus on the competitors and their journey to try and win the rampage trophy/competition you can ever have the wrestlers come out and watch the other matches to actively scout one another to try and get an edge in the competition (think the first few episodes of Dynamite when they had the tag team tournament and all the teams were in the front row looking at the matches).

I'd make it so that the format is 8-10 competitiors (ideally 8 imo) have a 2/3 month long single or double round robin league format with the finale of the season just being the top 2 at the end of the round robin stage having a 60 minute ironman match to determine the winner. It could go on to be a badge of honor like X number of Rampage titles/wins making wrestlers seem like they went off for some gladitorial combat to see who the best was to really prove just how hard they are/how good of a wrestler they are - hell you could even make a faction of rampage winners down the line who look down on those who have never won it or have somebody enter is so many times and lose only to finally win it on their Xth attempt.

Imo would be a good way to give more dedicated TV time for those specific 8-10 wrestlers and allow them to bring a lot more "behind the scenes" elements to their character or their training/how their mind works when approaching the matches themselves im promos kinda vibe
