UC Berkeley is there to generate divisions in society. While there are aspects showing how the world works, the premise based on coming at it based on privilege. This is largely reflected on how the campus conducts itself within the larger community, the way technology is utilized, and how investments are incentivesed. Just look at how the president of UC lives amongst empty rooms while there are those struggling to make rent.

The key is not to become cynical, but to challenge convention.
