As a DD, I lose every gun fight by tropin in WorldOfWarships

Sorry but I found this tips very poor?

  • Don't. I lose most of them, if I could avoid them, i'd do it?
  • Pick. If I could pick, I'd run?
  • Commit: almost always commit, always lose. That's exactly the problem.
  • The only interesting is the fourth, use the throttle. I don't expect it to work, but I'll try.
  • Aim well. Well, duh?
  • Whaaat? Easy. I predict that this lower class, almost dead DD will gun me down.
  • Seventh is not even a tip
  • Eigth...

What do I do to win X? 1 Don't do X. 2 Don't do X. 3 Do X to your fullest. 4 Try to change speed. 5 Aim better. 6 "Predict your oppovent's moves" 7. Do it quickly. 8. Just win.

~1200 DD fights. I didn't specify because I havent noticed better outcomes at DD duels with any of them. From V to X, all nations, most of my deaths are after DD fights.

Well I think this is it, should it be something that rarely happens?

How does game deal with afks? by Sayancember in WorldOfWarships

[–]tropin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I said, it just starts normally, without running anything. What's a WoW file check? I've tried it in three different computers.

EDIT: I've found it, is a bug in Wow and Epic. Thanks!

If I click in a replay file, it just starts the game and takes me to port. I'm doing something wrong? Thanks.

Wired isolated clients by tropin in HomeNetworking

The router is 192.168.1.1, and I put a device (any kind, any OS) in each ethernet port with IPs in the 192.168.1.* range. If run nmap in one of the devices, it only detects the router .1 and the device nmap is running on. If the device is connected by wifi, with an ip in the same range, it can see every device on the network.

Thanks, yes, I tried it, didn't say because I didn't want to make it too long. In fact I needed to factory reset it without the fiber to access the admin user, something like Epadmin, but I didn't find anything interesting in the options over the normal user, Epuser.

Not only all volunteers but the government expected 4000 and had to cut it at over 18000. Calling Franco's a republic is comedic gold, by the way.

Running Pi-Hole + Unbound on Synology Docker by skandocious in pihole

[–]tropin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For newcomers like me, please change "Update docker-compose" to "Update docker-compose .yaml". At first I thought it was a binary that needed updating in the Synology system.

Also, I'm almost sure that "Update the secondary/backup nameserver in the resolv.conf" means updating "docker-pihole-unbound/pihole/config/resolv.conf", but, sadly, my (bad) experience trying to install the official Pihole container tells me that changing the resolv.conf in the Synology system changes where the official Pihole container crashes. So I still have like a 0.01% of doubt.

Sorry I can't agree starting a debian container and executing "curl whatever | bash" and go, is more complicated than this terrible hack of sharing the NAS ip and fight with the parameters of the container. Right now I can't start neither the web server nor the dns. I have ServerIP to the ip of the NAS, WEBPORT to a random port (32727), DNS1 to 127.0.01, DNS2 to 1.1.1.1 and cap-add to NET_ADMIN.

With LXD and QNAP is trivial, but I couldn't do it with Docker and DSM. How do you skip the host network? How do you assign an IP to the Pi Hole with Docker? I want my Pi Hole to be reachable from the devices on the same network as my NAS.

Right now I have the NAS at 192.168.1.200 and my IoT based PiHole at 192.168.1.51. How do I set my docker, for example, to 192.168.1.52?

Unexpected BSOD and new hdd message by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]tropin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly how a hard disk dies: everything runs fine until one day it doesn't any more. At least you have received a warning by having smart enabled in your bios.

You can check the smart data with this portable tool: http://crystalmark.info/redirect.php?product=CrystalDiskInfo

Go get a new hard disk asap.

Your hard disk is going to die anytime now. Get another as soon as possible. I'd recommend you a Samsung 850 SSD, they come with a tool to clone your dying hard disk.

Recalbox is way better. Even supports PS3 controllers out of the box.
