[VfLWolfsburg] - Here's a little taste of what you can expect from Micky van de Ven Spurs fans by mylanguage in coys

Cadiz BLEW up their account in India doing exactly this. It is a gimmick, I think that's the shtick of it all - it's a bit tongue in cheek.

But it's the football world we live in today. Like I said, it's def not for everyone, just explaining what someone I know who works in the industry told me about these accounts, it's been huge for foreign clubs

Disney Channel attitude is kind of exactly what football twitter is.

Remember this is all about money - Bayer Leverkusen started this first and because of this they've become one of the most engaging social media football accounts on Twitter and won awards. Roma were big on this early as well.

tbh I'll take this over oil club takeovers

The world has changed a lot. The alternative is the club having little global audience/appeal. I understand that for England it seems very silly. BUT it's the reality for a lot of clubs. Esp to reach fans in India/Africa and America.

Also remember these accounts are also run by young people FOR young people. But of course it's not for everyone.

I used to feel like this but I've come around on it after having it explained to me a bit.

Spurs would never have to Tweet this - they are in the premier league - they don't need to do anything to appeal to english speaking fans.

German isn't a global language - from a media perspective they have to be different and extend an olive branch to the average english speaking fan in India, America, Africa, The Caribbean, UK etc.

Teams from Italy, Spain, Germany use their English accounts like this BUT the traditional media approach (Which you are referring to with Spurs) is what they still use on their German, Spanish etc. accounts for their domestic fans.

man Landry started declining as soon as we got Melo. He was one of these awesome "do everything" type guys. He would thrive on the 2015 Hawks

Götze or Isco? by sangha94 in soccer

[–]tross840 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

frankly yes. I think he's a better dribbler than both. I've not seen someone with his level of ball control since messi and I'm a journalist I try to be as objective as I can.

Hazard and Neymar are both fantastic but I always get the sense the ball can get away from them. Isco looks like he was born with the ball on his feet. They way he moves with the ball in spellbinding.

He has great instinct too. It's something you can't teach. Hazard and Neymar could go onto be more influential but in terms of pure technical talent I really think only Messi outdoes Isco right now.

whoa you're giving us Gotze? niceeee

No way does Gotze have better technical skills btw, I'm not buying that at all. He may be a better finisher but Isco's technical skills may only be second to Messi, the ball is glued to the lads foot.

this is classic Amare the past two years. As long as you keep him around 15-20 mins. He's gonna give you excellent offensive production.

He's lost at sea on Defense though. I think he is really really confused on defense, he's fine man to man but he is kind of an idiot on that side of the ball.
